Recently went through a terrible experience with an Englander mattress. Bought it at Mattress Gallery Direct in Cool Springs TN. Paid $1,400. Started collapsing after 3 months, and caused me terrible neck pain. Figured no big deal because of the 20 year warranty. I was wrong. Tried the dealer first. Quickly realized that was a waste of time. These warranties they speak of are all smoke and mirrors. They have a 3-4 week "review" process after you send in pages and pages of information. If (big if), they actually do warranty your mattress, you have to drive to the nearest plant to pick it up (6 hours for me). Finally took it to the dump and bought a Simmons. Neck pain disappeared. Can honestly say this has to be the worst example of customer service I've ever dealt with. Don't waste your money!!

Pros:

Absolutely none

Cons:

Lasted literally 3 months and started collapsing. Would wake up in the middle of the night and be in a hole so deep you had to climb out of it.

Englander Nature's Finest Organic

After having a 'foam rubber' mattress for many years, we decided to purchase a more natural mattress. In this case, the mattress is made with bamboo materials. Unfortunately, our mistake was in not inspecting the 'low profile' on which the mattress rests. After requesting relief from the constant noises exhibited by the low profile pieces for four months--both from Mattress Gallery and the manufacturer--we removed both pieces this weekend. After receiving no assistance on the 'warranty,' we dismantled the low profile pieces only to learn the construction was piecemeal and the cheapest of materials. Many small pieces of cheap wood were stapled together to form the 'base' and covered with cardboard. Basically, all the small pieces were contriving to make noise any time someone moved. Lesson learned--Englander uses very cheap materials. We expect the mattress to collapse at any time now that we've seen the 'quality' of construction.
