I will save many customers much AGGRAVATION... do NOT get the king beds that have the dark gray air chambers! They create a horrible lump in the middle and if you like to snuggle (or more intimate things) with your partner, it is VERY uncomfortable for one of you. I have dealt with Comfortaire for years on this and they always try to convince me there is nothing wrong. FYI - I own 2 of their beds and the one with the lighter gray chambers don't have the rim all the way around each "twin" chambers. That bed is basically fine. The air in both beds need to be refilled more often than I thought they would. We have tried to fix that by buying new pumps, etc, but it doesn’t completely solve the problem.
NOTE: My bed is an older model with another name, but has the same air chambers which is the problem.

I am very angry and disappointed in this purchase - I spent over $2000 on this bed and in 5 years have had 3+ holes in the air mattresses, the first one occurring a little over a year after I purchased it, I called the store and was informed that the warranty did not cover the mattresses and that I would have to purchase a new set priced at over $300! When I spend over $2000 for a mattress i expect it to last a lot longer than 3-5 years! I originally purchased this bed after my 3rd back surgery thinking it would be a wise purchase, and that i would not have to buy another bed for several years. Boy was I wrong! The bed was great for the first 6-9 months - but when it looses air on a regular basis and continues to get holes in mattress at the SEAMS, I regret my purchase!

I have a Select Comfort air bed and have had one for over 20 years. We had trouble with Mold at first but the company helped very much and the problem was solved. We had a dilemma many years ago. We had a water bed and of course the headboard and frame to go with it. It was all about the bed itself, not the water mattress. When we burned out on the waterbed we switched it to an air bed. Fit perfectly and has provided years of comfort. My wife sleeps at 35 and I sleep at 75. I ask often if I can "Come over to the Valley" lol. I read some reviews that were less than complementary so I thought I would write one of my own. Last week we bought the new Dual Temp top. WOW. I Love it. Warm or cool, my wife loves it too. She is always hot and I am always cold. So now it's Cool over in the valley, lol. I am very happy and have been for years. Now with the new topper, I'm back to WOW. Hope this helps, Select Comfort is absolutely the best bed/sleep system ever.
