Do not order it online.

Know what you are getting. You need to lay on this first. Take the Layers Seriously. Soft is really really soft, like sagging in, even when placed with one hard layer. I was expecting soft to be like a High End Simmons with a Pillowtop soft, but it literally goes down in the middle a great deal with the soft layers.

After 4 months, I began to have back trouble that I never experienced with other mattresses OR the couch due to the softness. The bed literally sagged in after sleeping on it for 3 weeks, so that my head was lower than my body (not with pillows). At a year and four months, my back began to hurt really badly, finally got rid of it.

If you like a soft mattress then it might be great. The organic and all natural aspect is wonderfull.

At larger sizes, it is very difficult to move due to its weight and awkwardness, I had two strong movers struggle with it on two separate moves. I tried selling it and then giving it away, both attempts unsuccessful. Finally, I paid a service to haul it away.

If you have the money, Royal Pedic is the way to go for an organic mattress, that is what the Royal Family in England uses.

Recommend: No

Pros:

-Organic and natural aspect wonderfull.
-Cover can be cleaned (maybe?)
-Layer Exchange up to a point nice, however, don't miss the date, as they will not help past it.

Cons:

-Bed sags too much with soft layers.
-Very heavy and difficult to move
-Overpriced for what level of comfort, could buy high end Serta or Simmons for the price, no comparison to those levels of comfort.

When our two year old daughter climbed out of her crib, we knew we had to find a mattress fast. I had already spent a ton of time researching and discovered that many mattresses produced today have dangerous chemicals, toxins, and flame retardants applied to them. Considering how much time children spend in their bed, I did not want our daughter to have this constant exposure to chemicals.

During my research I came across Savvy Rest's website and was excited to find a local dealer only 30 minutes away in Lawrence, KS. Diane Gerke, owner of Eagle's Rest Natural Home was invaluable in helping us with our mattress choice. Our first visit, we spent over 2 hours in the store testing out the different options! Initially, we were only planning on purchasing a twin mattress for our little girl. However, once I laid on the Serenity mattress I knew that my husband and I needed one too. He took a little convincing, but now he tells me how happy he is that we took a chance on the Savvy Rest.

I have struggled with Fibromyalgia for the last eight years. Most mornings I wake up stiff, sore, and exhausted from a non-restful night of sleep. Frequently I experience numbness and tingling in my hips and legs and pain in my shoulder joints after sleeping on our coil mattress. My husband and I would toss and turn and wake one another with the movement of the mattress. We were considering a memory foam mattress until I researched and read some of the reviews from Fibromyalgia sufferers. People complained of off-gassing smell triggering migraine headaches and stiffness from "sinking" and getting stuck in one position. Others complained the visoelastic mattresses slept hot making it very uncomfortable.

We visited Diane's store twice and she spent over four hours assisting us in finding the perfect mattress. What really drew us to the Savvy Rest was the natural, non-toxic benefits of the latex, and the ability to customize each side of the mattress. The king size Serenity mattress is made from 6 pieces of latex. This means each sleeper can make his or her side as cushiony or as firm as desired. If you do your research, or better yet, contact a Savvy Rest dealer, you will learn all the background on the two different types of latex. I settled on a medium dunlop on the bottom for support, and then two cushy, comfy layers of heavenly Talalay. My husband preferred a little more firmness and chose a firm, medium Dunlop, and then one soft Talalay. The King was $3200 and the Twin was $1400.

We eagerly awaited the arrival of our mattress. Fortunately, we only had to wait seven days. The pieces of latex were impeccably packed and protected. There was zero chemical smell. Our daughter, a somewhat restless sleeper, slept twelve full hours the first night. I laid down on our new king sized mattress and felt a peace come over my body. It was supportive and cushioned at the same time. I got out of bed the next morning after having one of the most restorative night's sleep in recent memory. It was such a relief to know we made a good choice. We have had our bed for six weeks and joke that we are ruined for ever sleeping in another bed. We no longer disturb each other with tossing and turning, and even if you do move, the mattress does not transfer motion. We think of our Savvy Rest mattress as an oasis. The only drawback we see is not wanting to get out of bed in the morning. I tell everyone I know about how this mattress has changed my life. Has it cured my Fibromyalgia; I wish! But it has made my days more manageable and improved my quality of life.

We sleep on a king Talalay Savvy Rest Serenity and love it. The mattress is still as fresh as the day we received it back in 2006. The other Serenity we have in our guest room is a mixed layer mattress and I love to move the layers around to make it fit my hip and shoulders. This one has a pillowtop, which makes it very soft and comfy. Great mattresses, great night's sleep. We'll never go back to innersprings.
Date Purchased: 5/2006 and 2008

Pros:

My husband has a firm side, I like mine soft.

Cons:

Nothing, the mattresses are wonderful.
