What an expensive nightmare. My husband had aches and pains, felt like his left side went numb.I had hip pain. I became ill from the chemicals, odor was horrendous.Went to urgent care they gave me shot to control allergic reaction to mattress.I felt like I had the worst cold ever only 5 times worse than any cold I ever had.Dripping sinus, buckets of water from nose. Have totally lost sense of smell. More than one week later still have the illness. Don't know if I will ever be completley well

Serta iComfort Revolution - Not sure yet...

After I had been blaming my old springloaded mattress for the cause of my lower back pain, my husband & I went mattress shopping. We tried every kind of mattress out there and decided on the iComfort Revolution Mattress with adjustable frame. I had already done my homework before shopping and read the postings on this site thoroughly. We still felt that the Revolution Mattress (King Size) and the adjustable bed frame (for the King size, you have 2 twin adjustable bed frames) was the best feeling one for us (what limited time you have in the showroom). I also believe that the adjustable bed frames will make a BIG difference on the feel of the mattress (the adjustable bed frames are padded and very sturdy).
We've only had this bed since 2/15 so the "jury" is still out on long term comfort (I will post a review again after a month--sooner if there is an issue). There is definitely a "new foam mattress" smell upon arrival...it seems to be dissapearing a little each day (the pillows definitely smell and I still have them airing outside). We really like the adjustable bed frame so that we can raise our feet (which makes a big difference on your back) as well as raising the head side for less stress on your neck & shoulders. The bed does sleep a little more "warmly" than our springloaded mattress but that just means I don't have to use an extra heavy blanket on my side of the bed. Not sure yet if we should have taken the Genius (firmer bed but felt like concrete at the showroom) for the mattress going soft quickly (?).... PS: In the state of Tennessee, you can not return a bed after you accept delivery!!! No store credit either for an exchange so you better be sure of your choice! Again, will keep you posted on the bed & mattress.

Less money (about $2K) from the Tempurpedic brand & a little more firm. Love the adjustable bed frame. Liked the 25 yr warranty of both the mattress & adjustable bed frame.
Cons:
Mattress "foam" odor.
Noisy massage function (we also have our bed on hardwood flooring so that may be the main cause for the noise). |
Don't do it

No Pros: If you are thinking of purchansing this mattress, I highly recommend that you do not do it. I loved the feel for about a month and a half. As the mattress began to soften up my back began to hurt. The mattress continues to soften to the point where there is a hole where I lay. Now when I sit on the edge of the bed, I nearly crush the side all the way to the box spring. I only weigh 175. This has been a horrible experience.

No Pros: Back pain
Cons:
I sleep better on the couch now than on this revolution by icomfort. I sleep better and wake up with no back pain when I stay at La Quinta Inn. I wished I had my old mattress back. It had body impressions, but my back didn't hurt. There is absolutely no support for your lower back on this mattress. The warranty card states "not warranted for when the mattress get SOFTER"
