I have been sleeping in beauty rest beds for 20 years, the last one purchased was about 7 years ago, it was a wool top/ pillow top which was very comfortable but got some pretty deep body impressions. I tried to replace that bed but they no longer made it nor did they make anything like it so I went for the pricey Willowbrook View after trying cheaper models that were just too firm for me.

This bed sits pretty high and looks like it is made for royalty with really nice fabric on the outside. It was the only bed in there that really gave when laying on my side so I chose it because I thought that it would not give me the soreness from pressure like the firmer beds. It really did feel like a dream in the store.

When it arrived it smelled horrible, it was sprayed with something that Mattress Giant uses as an anti microbe/mold kind of spray which they swore was non toxic but it was very irritating to the nose and it was still damp from the spray when they brought it in. The bed outgassed for days which was unpleasant.

Evening one I climbed up in it and the box spring squeaked and kind of grunted with every turn, I took it apart to see if it was the frame but it was the box spring.

While this bed did offer pressure relief it did not offer support so both hips and butt sunk too deep into the mattress to the point that my body had to work all night trying to hold a decent posture and alignment. I woke up sore from head to toe and needing a chiropractor visit.

As time went on this did not go away. The motion control on the bed was very poor, with two people on it too close we rolled into each other and it was impossible to keep the back and hips level if laying too close together. Thus I was less sore when my partner went out of town.

As more time went on there were depressions in the pillow top and I had to wake up and lift my body to roll over which I had to do frequently because the bed created lower back pain.

I attempted to swap this mattress out but we got hit by the hurricanes right into my 60 day comfort test end. I called them and told them I had a problem much earlier but they wanted me to try it for 60 days. The hurricanes were here for all of september and by the time we all got electricity and came back from evacuation they would not swap it out as it had gone over 60 days.

I gave this bed to a friend 2 days ago when I purchased a Latex mattress and I do not miss it one bit. I will not buy a Simmons mattress again. Expensive mattresses do not guarentee a good nights sleep and pillow top mattresses are certainly not what they are cranked up to be.

I've been reading the reviews here, and no one seems to say anything good about Simmons, however all the complaints seem to be on low end models. I have a SF that is only four years old and is killing my back. I found a returned Willow Brook still in the bag for only $1400.00, the only thing wrong withit is they scraped it on the truck and made a black mark on the side, so the customer refused it. So far this bed feels better than anything I have ever slept on, especially Temper pedic which I feel is just one big sink hole.
Also Simmons did upgrade ther coils this year on the exceptionals. The coils are now twisted like cableing for greater strength.
