Well the Riviera Deluxe adjustable Twins arrived today.  It takes two people to set one of these up, they are pretty heavy so avoid doing this alone if you can (this is one of those times I am actually happy that I have young adults still living with me :).  The beds seem to be well constructed, although I would have preferred a hard wired control to a wireless, simply harder to misplace.  

The price from Olejo was very reasonable and included shipping to curbside with gate-lift; although the semi driver wanted me to meet him five miles away and load them into my pickup truck so he did not have to take his truck into a residential area; we had words and he came to the house to make delivery. ;). 

The Deluxe bed and the Sleep Ez 10000 mattress are a very comfortable combination.  In particular I like the Deluxe bed zero gravity position feature(back slightly elevated with feet slightly higher) , this is a very comfortable setting for watching TV.  I also like the zero headwall clearance feature which when elevating the head end of the bed, retracts the foot end so your upper torso stays in a relative position to your nightstand.   A nice side benefit, at least for me, is that when returning the bed to a flat position ( a single button push feature) my upper and lower torso are pulled slightly in opposite directions as the foot of the mattress retracts.  This has the effect of gently stretching my spine which feels really nice.  Just a note on the vibrating massage feature, although it is nice I imagine you would get more out of it with an inner spring or an air bed as I suspect the latex and likely to a greater degree memory foam damp the effects; all in all its still pretty nice.

So far we are both sleeping well.  My wife was less achy this morning than her first few nights on the Sleep Ez 10000.  I on the other hand was just the slightest bit sore this morning.  Hard to attribute this to the mattress at this point, as this week I am on vacation and working quite a bit in my woodshop; so slight pulls and strains are the norm from lifting heavy planks of lumber, bending over equipment, awkward angles  etc.  One thing I am noticing, is that I am not waking up in the night with my arms and hands falling asleep as I was on the previous worn inner spring/worn memory foam combination. The latex seems to be pretty good at pressure reduction.  I will keep assessing the mattress and give periodic progress updates.

We have now been sleeping on our SleepEz 10000 Twin XL's for around 30 days.  My wife needed to swap her top layer from a soft Dunlop to a Soft Talalay after a week, since then is has been perfect for her.  Here is what we are both experiencing.

Were sleeping longer each night (Well I am at any rate, my wife has always slept between 10 and 12, now I am going between 8 and 10 compared to previously 5 to 7).

Were sleeping cooler each night (more comfortable) 

I no longer have daily back pain, it is largely gone (I have had daily back pain for at least the past 8 years). 

The firmness of the Dunlop seems to have done the trick for me as it appears my issues with the last coil/MF combination was based on a lack of adequate4 support..

What I have that seems a bit worse is a deadening sensation I have been getting in one of my legs.  My doctor says this is a nerve pinching.  It seems a bit worse than it was ion the memory foam.  At that time I would get the numbness when  I lay on my back for more than 10 or so minutes, now I get it after 5 or so minutes and I am getting it during the day.

So I am wondering if it is time to try a memory foam topper.  I was looking at a Sensus 5.3lb 2" thick topper on sale now at Sleep Warehouse for around $200 with a Bamboo cover and a free MF pillow shipping included.  I am hoping to get some of the superior benefits of MF pressure relief while still retaining the support characteristics of the Dunlop.  My tow concerns are will I loose the great support to get the pressure relief and will I sleep warmer, but I guess i'll just have to try it to find out.

Open to any helpful suggestions or observations.

PS, the Reverie beds have lead to a serious addiction of reading and watching TV in bed....buyer beware....

I currently use 1" of 19ILD blended latex over 1" of 5.9lb. memory foam as my top 2" of comfort layers.  That is a bit more supportive and a little cooler too (I believe).

So, you may want to consider adding 1" Sensus from Overstock.   You can then decide if you want 1" more of that or something else.   That gives you more flexibilty, but of course it is nicer to have 1 2" piece if that is what you eventually end up with.  It is also possible that two 1" pieces might feel a little different than 1 2" piece.

Unfortunately with a twin, you cannot do a fold in half.  However, on Overstock the King pieces cost the same as twin, so I would buy a 1" King and cut it in 2 pieces.

Well I purchased 1" memory foam as suggested in a King size.  Where I decided to purchase it from was a bit like Bungee Jumping with a rubber band.  I was at the overstock site and saw the Venus 1" 8Lb foam for a silly low price $148 shipped (that's the same price for twin or King).  Yes I read the Overstock site reviews and they range from "great" to "this is a rip off".  So when it arrived the first thing I did was carry it in to the house (it seemed quite heavy).  I did the calculations and from what I can tell it should weigh in the ballpark of  27+ lbs.  Onto the scale I went with the roll of foam, the final weight was 27lbs plus or minus 1/2 lb.  I opened it up to let it air, it sort of smells like fish at first but this dissipates.  When I press my hand into the foam and do the infomercial thing the handprint recovery time is easily twice as slow as old 5.3 lb foam topper (now on my sons bed), so this appears to be the real deal.  Going to try it tonight doubled up on top of the latex mattress and see if that is too much and need to drop to 1".  If it turns out I only need 1" I'll end up with a killer foam cushion for my car made from the the extra.  

Sounds like you got the reall 8lb. Venus.   For a while they were shipping 4lb. foam, that we concluded was probably Aerus memory foam.   Hope it works for you.  Let us know how it feels.  Sometimes I think that too dense might be a problem, but I did like the feel of high density foam on top of the TP Allura.
