You are most likely to run into the same problem as the Spring Air.  Costco beds just aren't made well.  They buy them cheaply made, then sell them cheap.  That's just the way it is.

I bought a cheaply made watch from Costco that I thought was the same as some jewelry stores.  One look from a jewler when I needed my battery changed told me different.  Lesson learned.  Cheaper componentry = cheaper price.  I don't think tv's and electronics are that way, but who knows.  I took their price to Best buy and had them match it.  You know the saying 'fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me'.

Re: Sticking with Latex - update on Costco all Latex mattress, and a topper for a different bed, sheets, down blanket, new pillow too - BedSaga

Update a year after my post above.

Still loving the Sleep Science all latex mattress (something like six inches of firm and 3 inches of medium) which felt pretty firm, so added the 3" convoluted latex topper to make it feel more plush (topper was one we had purchased a few years before to "get us by" until we could find the right bed).

Also still happy with 2" eggshell latex topper with cotton cover from foamorder.com that we use in the RV.

I like 100% cotton jersey sheets and seem to have decent luck with Brielle brand ordered from Amazon.  Over sheets we use one thin 100% cotton blanket and one Pacific Coast down blanket (because a down comforter is too warm).  Down blanket also from Costco.

As for the pillow search,...

Sticking with Latex - update on Costco all Latex mattress, and a topper for a different bed - BedSaga

Hello there

About six months ago I posted that we had returned one bed to Costco and gotten this one, also from Costco:  Purchased a Sleep Science latex mattress (something like six inches of firm and 3 inches of medium) - also from Costco (purchased online). It is comfortable but not a "plush".  I already had a 3" convoluted latex topper (with wool covering); Added that and it now seems just right.

So far so good with this combination - but time will tell.

Since then, I purchased a 2" convoluted or "eggshell" textured latex topper (not from Costco) for our RV, which came with a Sleep Number bed.  To tell you the truth, I don't know if it is a sleep number of a knock-off of that.  Adding this latex topper made a big difference....

Yay for Costco.  They gave us our money back on this Spring Air mattress mentioned above - which had developed deep wells in it.  Since it was a third party seller, we did not get our delivery fee back.

I really hope this mattress does not develop wells.  If it truly is latex it should not do so.

Has anyone purchased Costco Sleep Science all Latex bed? How is it performing? Any wells? - BedSaga

Hi

In another thread, I reported on the disappointing performance of the Costco Spring Air Back Supporter Latex Pacifica (the most expensive choice).  We bought in mid 2009 and it started getting wells after two or three years.  Now the wells are very deep.  It lists a small layer of "comfort foam" on the top over soy foam and latex foam.

So I'm wondering about the performance of the Costco Sleep Science Latex bed because it seems to have "ONLY" latex in it according to the specifications.

Anyone care to comment?

Thanks!

An update - The Costco Spring Air Back Supporter Latex Mattress Pacifica has not performed as hoped.  It developed a couple of wells in the bed after about three years and now after five years the wells are pretty deep. The top layer which is listed as "comfort foam" is obviously not latex and both it and the covering to which it is stitched has stretched out a lot and leaves a three-inch high bump which has to be pushed or stretched out of the way.

This bed would probably be fine as a guest bed that's not used constantly, but all in all, a big disappointment.

I'm wondering if anyone has purchased the Costco Sleep Science latex bed - which only lists latex as the ingredient.  I would think total latex would perform better.  I will post that question as a separate thread.

I was just looking at them myself, tonight and couldn't find anything online!

I originally purchased a Novafoam mattress from Costco in 2011 and it

lasted about a year and a half before sinking in the middle!  Talk about painful !!!

Bought a "natural" mattress from Bed in a Box" and it lasted 2 years and three months!

I posted a complaint on Yelp or one of those "complaint" websites and they answered

asking me to call them  However, upon looking up their process for customer satisfaction

they offer you a pad to put on your mattress and perhaps may even ship you another

and the 2nd mattress may have been used or has been stored a long time!  So......

The 10 Basic Formulas to Prevent Insomnia - bobby231

There are 10 ways to get rid of insomnia -

1. Set a schedule.

The National Sleep Foundation recommends that you stick to a regular bedtime routine. That means going to sleep and waking up at the same time every day (yes, even weekends!). Try to avoid spending more time in bed than you need. Maintaining good light hygiene will help: Open the blinds or go outside as soon as you wake to get energized, and shut off all the lights (including electronics) when you go to sleep.

2. Eat well to sleep well.

The key to beating insomnia isn’t just in the bedroom—it’s also in your kitchen. Eat balanced meals throughout the day, and make breakfast your biggest. Digesting food requires energy, so if you eat a heavy meal late at night, your body will be hard at work digesting when it should be sleeping. Steer clear of greasy or fatty foods...
