Whelp. I was commenting on a friend's post on Facebook and was looking up the old details about this mattress I purchased what.. geesh, 12 years ago now, and came across this forum!

 

I'm very happy to report that my IKEA latex mattress is still going strong, and I've recommended it numerous times. I think IKEA's replaced the Erfjord a few times over, but their top of the line Latex still has natural wadding and ticking, and still has a 85-15 blend of natural vs artificial latex. 

 

I know I have a 25 year warranty, and I'm about halfway through that, but heh, it'd be nice to get a new mattress after 12 years.

 

Minimal sagging after all this time. Mattress still isn't...

I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Silver medium firm hybrid mattress about 3 months ago. It seemed firm at first but I read that a mattress needs a little time to break in, so have stuck with it. It's pretty comfortable, but many nights I wake after a few hours with pressure point pain in hip/buttocks area. I'm not sure what that means. Is it too firm for me? I thought about adding a topper to add some cushion, maybe an inch or so but don't know what to get. I can return it but I hate to do that unless I have to. Any suggestions?

I just wanted to say thanks for your detailed post and diligent updates! I'm finally replacing the same mattress from 1993 and also had no idea what to look for or where to start as I also love this firm yet springy mattress that has lasted me 25 years. Modern mattresses are way too soft and seem to give out quickly. This is a great lead for me. Going to head down to the store and look for another Simmons. Thank you all!...

We are upgrading to a king from the Queen. We have been at Simmons for about 10 years now. I am a huge man 6 '4 215 lbs and have a soreness.I always think I should have a solid mattress, but after going and putting on some, I see I really prefer something a bit softer.The tempersoleic beds are also. So, I see costco selling some foam mattresses having mixed reviews. I was tempted to try it once and if I did not like it, bring it back. However, none of them come with a platform. Should I just find a cheap spring box around town or should I get a specific platform? Any hint on what to do about a platform would be great.

I came here for finding a thread that my girlfriend had seen here before about getting a new mattress. And some people had shared some information from their experiences. Unfortunately, that thread is not available now. My girlfriend and I have moved to a new apartment in Mississauga last month. She told me about buying a new mattress.

I want some information and suggestions regarding this. Which type of mattress is comfortable? She is going to place an order for a Simmons Beautyrest mattress from a company. Before that, we thought it would be better to opinions about it. Is it a good choice? Had anyone bought this mattress? How was it? Please share your opinions and suggestions.

If talking about your question. I can give recommendations. so I recently bought it for our bedroom.;
I did my own “research”. And when I studied Simmons Beautyrest mattress, I found some advantages:
Better than average motion isolation
Better than average satisfaction for some models
Comfort and less pain for first 3 years
Better than average warranty

I live in Toronto with my wife. We renovated our house recently. So we shifted all our old belongings to a storage unit and are in the process of purchasing new things. One of the difficult choices is to select a suitable and comfortable mattress for our room. While going through reviews and other ratings, I plan to get a Simmons Beautyrest Mattress. I guess we will be needing King size bed for the future, so ordered one from an online store.

Even though it's being purchased in an offer, I'm a little bit worried. Is it a good choice? Has anyone used this mattress? Is it long-lasting? All these questions roam in my mind. Please share your knowledge so that I can be tension free.
