Re: Please help buying new latex bed! - Phoenix

Thanks for clarifying the PLB pricing. I thought that's what had happened but I was hoping you had made a great discovery I didn't know about. The custom sleep design pricing you quoted is a little higher than I thought for a queen but when I first talked to him I was talking in "approximates" as I hadn't yet decided where to buy from. His prices may have gone up a little or my "approximates" may be a little out but in eiher case I believe he offers great value as the "standard" mattress is 11" as opposed to the 10" of PLB and his method of customization and his exchange policies add greatly to the value of what he offers in terms of "getting it right". PLB is great when there are few other options and when someone doesn't have the confidence to order online. Even here though if...
Re: The Dr. Breus Bed (Talalay Latex) - rocco50

As much as I would like to get an all-latex mattress, similar to what cazual said about the comfort top missing from the LatexBliss, the LatexBliss mattresses seem too firm for me.

The Dr. Breus Signature Elite feels very comfortable. I could not find any specs either, other than from the press release which states that it is made from foam with natural soy materials containing Talalay latex, how much latex is unknown. How natural this foam is, is also unknown. I found the following article, which makes me start to think that the foam is really mosty poly:

However, I am hesitant to purchase something custom-made from Flobeds or SleepEZ for example, unless I can physically try them out, as the comfort level may end up unsatisfactory like LatexBliss....

Thanks GK - We're thinking along the same lines.  In the end, if the surgery fails, I will ditch the coils and just add a latex base and have an all latex bed.

I did find out that the Bliss Beautiful bed is (from top to bottom):

3" Talalay 19 ILD
2" Talalay 24 ILD
6" Talalay 36 ILD

Because the foam failed in the pillow top so quickly, I think we're looking at getting rid of all the foam, and starting over with Latex.  The brands we're considering are Latex International (as they seem to be a trusted brand), but I noticed others have used FBM / the Foam Factor but the reviews seemed mixed.

Anyone care to comment on the...
