This was a comfort exchange. My first purchase was a Laguna Beach that I found to be too hot and was much softer than the three different floor models I had tried. I was going to bag latex for one of the S&F cushion firms until I tried the Manhattan. It is a firm mattress, but the countouring nature of the latex definitely takes the edge off and creates a cushion firm feel. I also feel that this is the best made of the Sealy latex beds (it has the least amount of PU foam and that foam is high density so it should last). This bed sleeps cool and felt exactly like the one I tried at the showroom. My plan is to use this mattress as a "base" and, if necessary, purchase a 3 inch 14-19 ILD topper for it if I desire a plusher feel. Seems much more practical than buying a pillowtop with PU foam that will wear out long before the latex underneath it does and you can add or remove it as you see fit. I really think this is the best and most efficient way to create a comfortable bed.

Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it for anyone looking to purchase a firm/cushion firm bed. If you are looking for more "plushness" at the same price I would suggest the Newport. But, for about $150-$250 more, you can purchase a 1"-3" Talaly Latex topper (or whatever topper you prefer) and not have to worry about the PU foam losing its resiliency over the years. This should extend the comfort life of the mattress and make it cheaper in the long run. (I have officially deposited my 2 cents.)
