Sleep Science Latex Comfort 10"

We bought the Latex Comfort in December 2012. We have a Costco foam topper we put on top of it, otherwise it might be too firm, like I saw posted on the Costco website by other buyers of this mattress. When the mattress decompressed, one corner of the mattress seemed to be an inch or two lower due to it being rolled up and compressed since January of 2012. Apparently, it had been stored compressed for about a year. After two days, the corner was still lower. I am still using it and figure it would not matter as long as I have pillows. Other than that, I have to problems with the bed. We made our own frame out of a steel frame, two-by-fours, one-by-fours and particle board for a cost of about $90. There was no smell at all when we decompressed the bed. The only smell we have is of the particle board, which we painted first (it still smells---the chemicals in the particle board are probably toxic, no doubt!). We put a plastic sheet between the mattress and the particle board so that nothing would leach into the mattress. I wish my husband would have used plain old plywood instead. Too late now.
We sleep fine on the mattress. It takes a little getting used to, but I like it better than the traditional box springs and mattress we had, which was a sagging wreck after 12 years of use at a cost 12 years ago of $1,100.00. The Latex Comfort was on sale for $799, which was $200 off the regular price. Now I can't find it online on the Costco website. It was Item #564861. I don't know if they discontinued carrying it or if South Bay International, the maker of Sleep Science Latex Mattress discontinued making it.
I have a 20 Year Limited Warranty from South Bay International on the mattress. That's a lot better than you can get on a box springs and mattress. The most I've seen on them is a 10 year limited warranty, IF you can find one with a warranty at all!
I'm happy with my purchase and hope the mattress lasts as described.

Pros:

Latex memory foam
No box springs
No springs in the mattress

Cons:

Hard to handle and turn, but that's OK
Heavy, but that's OK, too. It has substance!

It took about 4-5 nights to get use to the firm control of the form, however, from then on it has been "a dream" to sleep on it each night. I do not wake with any discomfort in my back as I have had a very sensitive back since back surgery many years ago. I would recommend this bed to any one who wishes a firm, but very comfortable bed.

Pros:

It conforms to the body with such little pressure. I can sleep on my side, stomach and back with comfort, which I could not do on an ordinary mattress.

Cons:

None

Love the mattress except for it retaining body heat which makes it way too hot for me after a couple of hours. We did put plywood on our box springs as suggested by manufacturer and drilled at few small holes for air circulation. I need suggestions short of buying a different frame.
Date Purchased: 10/2010
Price Paid: $1359

Pros:

Costco's return policy; firm but soft. Delivery process was great;

Cons:

holds body heat
