Foundation for tempurpedic mattresses

I noticed that tempurpedic sells split foundations for its mattresses. Should I get a split foundation for a queen size mattress or just 1 single foundation will work. Will split foundation change the feeling of the mattress in the center of the mattress or anywhere else in the mattress? I am worried that a single foundation may cause sagging in the center of the mattress.
