Foundation Slats

I purchased a new mattress and it is too tall with a box spring. My bed has horizontal slats but I was thinking that it would provide more mattress support if there were also a vertical set. Is it bad to have 2 sets of slats, a vertical set of slats on top of the horizontal? (I can't remove the horizontal ones) Any options or thoughts would be appreciated! |
