Hello!

I am looking into getting a new mattress.

I want something that doesn't transfer motion a lot, so I can stop getting yelled at at night... And something that sleeps cool also.

I am looking into Technogel, but I haven't been able to find one single review on it!

Has anyone tried one at length?  Anyone heard anything?

I'm stuck!

Thank you!

I have been sleeping on the Ecstasi Technogel for 3 nights now. I bought the bed from Sleep Experts. They threw in 2 technogel pillows. After the first night I woke up with neck pain, and I am attributing that to the pillow. The pillow itself is nice and cool but very stiff. That pillow is now tossed on the floor. My husband had the same issue. I also sleep on my side and I have been waking up with shooting pain from the shoulder down my arm. I have never had this issue before. I can say most of my body is achy today from the bed. My husband is a side/stomach sleeper and had hip pain. Sleep Experts told me today my body needs 30 days to get used to the mattress. I don't think I can go another night on it. I don't know what other bed to switch to. The other one at the store we are considering switching to is the Comforpedic Cool Air.

I am looking into buying the Technogel Estasi+ mattress.

If any one has any experience with the Technogel mattress or any if there is any update to this thread, please let me know.

I first bought Tempurpedic Rhapsody Breeze few months back and it did not work out.
Tempurpedic Rhapsody Breeze is great for about 5 hrs.
After around 5hrs of very good sleep I invariably wake up every night because the mattress sinks around my waist area ( I am 180lbs, 6feet, so not too heavy).
I suspect that the memory foam softens up and sinks. I am a back sleeper and I just sleep in one position until woken up.
The sinking is soo much that I feel that it is causing a "drag" on my upper portion of the body.
The other main problem is the Rhapsody Breeze heats up after 5hrs or so.

The expert at the retail shop assures me that the Technogel would not sink or sag after sleeping for 5hrs in one position.
Since Estasi+ is made of 1.5" thick layer of gel on the top it would not sink but would absorb the heat and supposedly dissipate it?

If anyone has any experience with the Technogel mattress, please let me know.
Thanks very much!

I own this mattress and am looking to give it away. It cost a fortune and it is extremely hard! I initially wanted a product that would help me sleep cooler, but this mattress does not even do that. I remember now the salesperson being extremely careful with his words when I said I needed gel to cool me off. He said that the gel would distribute the heat evenly, but he was careful not to agree with my assertion that gel would solve my hot sleep problem. What he said turned out to be true. It is my lower back that gets hot, and not my feet or arms. I checked the area of the mattress just under my lower back and it was actually quite warm, although dispersed a small amount to the right and left of my body. The area under my feet and arms was room temperature. Tonight I think I will put a surface thermometer on it and test the temperature differential, but it really isn't necessary to get that specific for this review. I just want to let everyone know 2 things:

1. This is a VERY firm mattress. Not for a side sleeper (like me).
2. This mattress will NOT cool your body. If that is what you want, try one of the mattresses that promotes air flow (I forgot the names of these, but they come in both memory foam and traditional innerspring varieties. I will probably go with innerspring next time, because being less dense, it probably has better air flow.

As far as transfer of motion, I expect that this mattress will likely do well in that department, but as I have a split king, I don't have need of that feature and it doesn't really apply to me.

Good luck!

Triplethefunmom.  It would be great if you were able to get temperature numbers.  That would be really interesting.  You might want to consider a 2' piece of latex on top of the bed.  It should sleep a little cooler and might give you enough elevation for your shoulder.  Mattdud
