We have had the store rep out to determine whether or not we can unfortunately, return our new Simmons Recharge World Class Mount Laurel pillow top mattress after only six months.

Now that I am researching comparable mattresses in the same price range, I am more confused as ever. What will be soft like a pillow top, and not sag?

I looked and read the same exact problems with other brands. Any suggestions? comparable

I just bought a firm mattress and I'm using a Pure Latex Bliss 2" soft Talalay latex topper fast action.  I'm waking up with back pain.  I had a great night sleep when the mattress was on the laminate floor but once the set was on the frame it has become uncomfortable.  Did I go overboard with the Kluft Alexander? Should I give it more than just two nights before coming to a conclusion?  I'm also waist high off the ground.  I'm thinking about buying plywood to put over the slats and doing away with the box springs or else buy the European slats from Ikea.  I was in an accident in February and I can't get comfortable since.  The mattress is 15" and the box springs over 7".

Andthepea.  You certainly need to give it more than 2 nights.  There are many variables you can change to find a solution.  Try the new configuration for a week then if that does not work plywood sure is cheap.  What kind of back pain are you experiencing?  Mattdud

I'm still waking up in pain with the Kluft Alexander.   I'm regretting that I didn't buy the Vi Spring Coronet medium sprung mattress that was extremely comfortable.  What do you think about a cotton/wool topper instead?
