Hello everyone - I just looked at one of these yesterday and was impressed... however don't know much about their reputation.  I've begun researching foam mattress technology today and have learned some interesting things.  When I Google this mattress I don't get any reviews, etc. Any user info/reviews would be much appreciated.  Here is the info:  http://ashleysleep.com/Memory%20Foam/11/M861/LEESPORT/0/search-t/

Hi there,

May I ask how much the mattress is? I didn't see it online. Hopefully others can weigh in here also, but based on the research I've done (and I just purchased a memory foam mattress), the general concensus seems to be that 3lb memory foam is not particularly good quality. I think that 5lb memory foam is considered to be much more durable and better quality. Tempurpedic is 5.3lb generally. There are also a number of other companies that use 5 or 5.3lb memory foam.

Also- in this bed, it doesn't say what the 2" in the middle really is.

It's also my understanding that you really don't want much more than ~3" or so of memory foam at the top, over a firmer core. Looks like this one is 4.5"? Not horrible- there are others with 6+",  but I think maybe less is better based on what I've been able to uncover.

We just purchased a memory foam mattress that's 3" of 5lb foam over a firm core. So far we love it. TIme will tell how it holds up! But, from what I can tell, the 5lb should hold up better than 3lb.

That said, if it's cheap, then 3lb could be fine! It just may not last as long. And honestly, based on my experiences the last few years, I am not convinced that any mattress these days is going to last too long anyway. So, I'm not opposed to going cheaper for a shorter period of time as long as it's comfy and cheaper!

Thanks for your response... list price is $899.  Talking them down I think I can get out the door a little over $700...  I did read that you don't want anything less than 3lbs...
