Thanks for the answer Sall. A few more questions if you don't mind:
- You say you have both the super soft latex and the dormier mattress cover. Are you using both together? It sounds like you think the latex adds more pillowtop feel...

I ordered a few small pieces of latex from them, and the quallity seems worse than Latex International (that's who they told me made their latex). If you scroll down on this link to reply number 9, you can see a photo comparison. In the photo, it is next to 100% natural talalay. The Talatech does look a bit different, but still not like the foamonline latex. Some of the holes don't go all the way through, and my perception is that the density is lower. It is working okay though in my very limited...

Some think 14 is too soft, so 19 is another alternative. Steve finds the 23 too firm, so I am not sure if the 19 would be enough of a difference. Anyway, I would tend to stick to 1" of the 14, and if one wants more then I would probably add 1" of 19. Then you can 2 options, with the 19 on top being a bit firmer. Of course, if you have 1" of 14 I would try folding it in half if possible to see what that is like, before adding another inch.
They also make the Evercload latex quilting. That should add some plush pillowtop feel as well,...

I have yet to find the winning combination of latex! I am currently using the 1" of 21 Celsion over the 1" of 28 Talatech. I also purchased a Rejuvenite Restora pillow for the neck problems. I still experience quite a bit of shoulder pressure with the current setup, and also don't think the pillow is a perfect match either because the neck pain is still present. After sleeping on a much softer mattress (likely a plush pillowtop from Sams or Costco) over the past few weekends, I have come to the conclusion that I simply do better with a softer mattress. I also was able to become comfortable without sleeping with my head on my arm. I'm starting to think this is a habit I developed to reduce shoulder pressure - I've been doing it for as long as I can remember. I also found more comfort in a...

my wife and i are going through kind of what yu are but to a more expensive ordeal, however the same result. we have a very firm latex bed and we are trying to soften it without losing support in our hips and back but with giving our shoulders someplace to sink into. believe it or not my wife is 5' 3" 130 so close to your body type. and she has found that 1 " of 19 on top of a 1 inch 20 has worked. still has the support from the orignal mattress but a softer gradual feel to the top.
sleeplikeabear does do exchanges and there twin xtra long run around 132 for a 1 inch wich is spendy but they talatech latex is from latex international and i think is one of the best you can buy. we have spent...

$349 - 3" "Firm" (28ILD LI Talatech Blended Talalay - is actually Medium) Full Rejuvinite Topper w/cover http://www.latexmattresscompany.com/full-rejuvenite-3--latex-mattress-topper.html
$386 - 3" 36ILD LI Talatech Blended Talalay (Firm) from www.sleeplikeabear.com
$272 - 2" 24ILD LI Talatech Blended Talalay (Soft) from www.sleeplikeabear.com
That is $1010. You will have a comfort guarantee from SLAB on the Soft layer, which is the only one I would imagine you might need to change. You will have a nice feeling cover for whatever ends up on top. You can cover the rest with some cheap allergy cover from Walmart.
To go cheaper, you could replace the 2" Soft layer with http://www.latexmattresscompany.com/fulamato.html for $199 but it might be too soft and you would not be able to return it.
Take...
