You cant get a retail version of it, they are made specifically for the hotels, Sheraton has their own, etc.

So you must buy it from the hotel...

I assume you're talking about a NEW one...
I figured they'd probably mark it up a lot to sell you one if you could get one at all.
When I called the Venetian years ago about their Englander spring mattress, they told me what it was but would not sell me one. I'm sure I probably wouldn't have wanted to pay as much as they wanted, anyway, especially with no sleep trial.
But I did buy the same brand and the same springs years later (last year) which I am now using....

Since this is a hotel only mattress, where would I find the retail equivalent, and what would it be called?

Thank you for your help!
I have no idea how to find mattresses made for a hotel. I am guessing it's either very hard to do, or impossible. Good luck....

Very interesting Sandman - I thought you were a dyed in the wool FloBeds guy.
I do like what you're doing. You'll probably be able to make this exactly right over time.

What is this post above me from mattress01
Is this all that's left of the once great Simmons mattress company?   (two links that don't work) :)...

I liked the Hampton Inn new bed line which is made by Serta.   They have put this Serta bed in all their hotels as part of a bedding upgrade.   I called Serta once and they offered to sell me one, but it was expensive and NO returns.    A year later I noticed that Hampton Inn now offers the bed on their website.  Still fairly expensive and NO returns if you don't like it.    I wonder if you REALLY get the same bed?    Anyway, last time I slept on one at their hotel I decided I preferred my new latex mattress....

I guess it would be kind of hard to sneak out of the hotel with it....

You can ask at a mattress store if they sell something similiar and see how that feels.  Similiar might not really be similiar though, after a few months use....

I still got the some weird, gray foam instead of white memory foam. The so-called Simmons mattress pad, not even close. I took my foam to a scale, it didn't weigh what it was suppose to. I used to like Overstock and if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have been paying such close attention.

Thanks, Alice ...

If the Cloud doesn't work the Deluxe probably won't either.

Despite the density the 7lb foam is actually faster responding and a better pressure relieving surface than the 5.3 lb stuff they use in the top of the Deluxe.  The density itself is not the only way Tempur changes their foam.  The way they cure it has a huge effect on the firmness level of it all.  It sounds wierd but in terms of how soft and forgiving the inital sleep surface is, the softest to firmest would be the 4lb foam >7lb foam> 5.3lb foam.

We have NEVER had someone lay on the Deluxe and the Rhapsody and find the Deluxe softer, it is actually the firmest overall bed in the Tempur line.

Wow, budgy... good to know, but now I'm more confused than ever. So if the Cloud Supreme ends up not working for my...

Natalie,

when you first received the mattress....did you "break it In"...and what I mean by that is...did you jump on the mattress for about 10 minutes.  Tempurpedic has a closed cell structure and needs to be broken in very well before the foam can do its job of cushioning your pressure areas.  When I sold Tempurpedic...it was my advice to the client to have their kids jump on the mattress for a while with just their socks on to get it broken in for sleep.  If it is still too hard ...do not get the Rhapsody...that 7.0 means that it has a denser foam construction and will be firmer...the rhapsody has HD foam in it to make it one of the firmer of the Tempurpedic lineup.

I currently sale Strobel Mattresses...they feel like Tempurpedic but are made out of Polyfilax Soy and are a healthier choice because the...
