Many stores in the LA area carry Englander latex mattresses. They have a natural Talalay latex core of 30 ILD with a softer comfort layer. You might want to check it out. Very few stores carry more than a couple of latex mattresses since they are considered more of a specialty item, but most stores can order a specific mattress as long as...

The Springfree line has a synthetic Dunlop latex core. The comfort layers are made of PU which will soften, sag and take body impressions just as quickly as any other mattress. For less money you could buy an all latex mattress from Flobeds or SleepEZ and have the option of adjusting the comfort levels for each partner....

We re-set the mattress to firm-medium-soft, zipped it up and then put the topper on. This felt far too soft and we sank way down. Understandable when you think we were lying on just under 6" of soft latex. We then tried the soft, firm, medium (bottom to top) with the topper on. This felt much better. Just to correct your misinformation, Sealy's SpringFree mattress has a latex foam core, not polyurethane. Also, companies like Aireloom are not and should not be lumped together with the "S" companies. E.g. Aireloom does not use the same cheap Leggett & Platt coil springs used by all of the "S" companies, they use much better (time-tested and truly natural) comfort layer materials (cotton, wool etc), and in their midrange and high-end lines, latex is properly put *under* these other materials. In some models it serves just as a support layer, not a comfort layer. So a categorical claim that "you want to be as close to the latex as possible" is also incorrect....

This set is sold at various stores online for the same price of $2519. I wonder if Sealy mandates that price. I also believe that is the same bed as the Sealy Springfree Fairway Dune that also sells at various stores on line and in stores for the same price of $2519. I tried to email Sealy about this but you won't...

I also noticed that these major manufacturers latex beds have more pads than the generics like SleepEz. They just use more/different layers of thinner latex/foam. This gets more and more confusing!!...
