Last night was the worst night I have had in months...all of my bad back areas were hurting.

Now, the installers warned me that the bed had been in a cold warehouse and therefore stiffer than normal, that it would take a while to warm up and get into its normal condition...

So, I am hoping that is it, as it is really stiff, so I turned the heat way up and will leave it up all day...

Fortunately I have a 90 day refund option available, I lose $150 only  and since it cost over $4000, that is a good thing...

Re: closest firmness to a sealy posturepedic signature firm, foam style - KimberlyH

Considering what you've said so far about the desired firmness of your mattress, the Costco bed will almost certainly be way too soft for you.  Except for 3-4", there are some pretty soft layers in there - even for Dunop.

Here is a quote from the product description:  "Sleep Science Softness Scale – Soft/Medium on one side and Medium on the other"...

AFter 9 nights on the Rhapsody I am still having back pain that I didnt have with the $800 Sleep Science/Costco mattress...so am returning it and getting Bellafina to try next....

I am hoping that the HD material is what is not working for me and the Bellafina will resolve it, if not I will go to the Deluxe after that.

It is $2700 more to add the ergo adjustable base, this may be the only way, ultimately, to resolve my issues, we shall see

(when i experiment with the adjustable base, the comfot level increases tremendously)

How about I try Habitat topper on my foam? - randys
Oct 15, 2009 8:53 AM
As some of you may know, to test the foam beds (never had anything but springs) I bought the 10 inch Emma/Sleep Science from Costco last week, i have low back pain, 6 foot tall and 180 lbs...after a few days it isnt working, a bit too soft but just barely, low back pain is back...

I figured I would try latex but nothing local other than Flobeds, long story, lets skip that for now...I found that HABITAT sells a LATEX topper, 2 or 3 inch for around $500 with a 180 day guaranteed 100% money refund deal...

So, why not get the 2 inch topper and put it on the foam mattress and see if latex support is better for my back?

Does that make sense vs buying an entire bed, and if it doesnt, i return it for a refund?  what do you think?...

a. low back pain, need support

b. been sleeping 4 nights on Sleep Science Emma 10 inch memory foam (costco), first two nights great, now back pain last two nights, darnit - will return it

c. just got off phone with Tempurpedic, they say their firmest beds are their cheapest (almost) beds, Advantage & Classic...i had thought i would get the Bellafina as my brother has it and loves it...

What do I do?...

offset coils - JasonRatky

thanks.  all i've read on signature's "posturetech coils with posture channels"(beyond marketing jargon) is that they're14gauge 5 1/2" tall hourglass coils with a sensory arm.  i understand offset is the more expensive/preferred type of hourglass coil, so they may very well be that.  Apparently sealy also has one called "triple offset coils" whose construction they break down in greater detail, but haven't found any models outside the uk with them (& i see they are in your sealy hotel bed!).

Either way, i trust you when you say my springs are still good long after the foam's tiny bubbles have ruptured- but i'm still not fixing this one.  (here we go):  i sleep diagonally, which is fine until the sink in the middle gets too bad.  at that point i'm sleeping (vertically) on the very edges of my bed where it's still actually firm, but have to put a chest at the end of it with blanket & pillow on top as a sort of bed extender (ridiculous!) for my feet.  if i wake...

New Natural Latex Beds on Sale Now at Costco - GentleBathandCo
Dec 1, 2009 4:33 PM
Hi, I have been looking for a new mattress and when I was researching Latex mattresses I found this site. I had already decided to try a latex mattress before coming here and from what I have read I am more convinced that is what I want. My husband noticed a new latex mattress listed on the Costco site and I was wondering if anyone has tried it. I know it is new, but I thought maybe someone might have some comments that might help. Here are the highlights of the bed components - we would be getting a King size with the foundation and at $1499.99 it seems like a steal. I know we would be sacrificing the ability to customize the firmness on each side but is it worth $1000.00 for that??? Here are the list of latex layers - ...
