I took a look at their website and it - like most other mattress sites - does not give a lot of detailed information.
Are you sure this mattress is 100% latex? I mean, is there nothing BUT latex in the mattress, or is the little latex it has in it "100% latex"? Sometimes mattress companies try to mislead...
IF it is 100% latex, find out the following and come back here and tell us:
Who makes the latex? Is it Talalay, Dunlop or "jungle" latex?
What ILD does it come in? Is it one firmness for all or do you have a choice of firmness or ILD?
Does it have springs or is it pure foam? If it has springs who makes them and what gauge are they? How many turns do they have in each spring?
What other foams are in the mattress, if any? What thicknesses and types? Full disclosure or no...

Dave Turner, who own's FloBeds, is very customer oriented and I'm sure will be willing to try and help you. As far as reaching them is concerned keep in mind they are on the West Coast therefore there operating time is Pacific Standard Time.
Also realize that if you have a standard latex mattress, it came in basically pieces. Split through the middle with three layers on either side. You can switch those layers around, and even turn them over. You might give that a try.
Good luck.

LoveToCruse: I just noticed you said something about an "Air mattress on your side"? Just what kind of a bed do you have? I thought you had an all Talalay latex foam mattress. These are any where from 3 to 4 layers of natural organic Talalay from FloBeds.

Yes Chris, hope all is well with you. All of use, looking into this question of split latex, would very much appreciate a response. Thanks in advance.
Linda: my question to you is this line in your post, "I'm having a problem with some depression in my soft top layer, but if I put a medium on top, it's too soft." I can not understand your statement. Is this a typo? Are you saying that your top...

Hi, I'm not sure how old this link from FloBeds is, but check this out:
http://www.flobeds.com/TalalayVsDunlop.htm
Just wondering if your bed was made using Dunlop Talalay, and if it has worn faster than the Talalay. Also, they say they use 100% Natural Talalay.
Also, during my research I came across this:
http://matresses101guide.com/Mattress_Construction_Mattress_Upholstery_and_foam_beds.html
I don't know who sponsors this website, and I don't know how good the information is (it certainly isn't very in-depth), but they seem to suggest that blended Talalay is more durable than 100% Natural Talalay such as FloBeds says they use now. Although different sources say conflicting things, my sense is that blended Talalay may be more long-lasting than the 100% Natural that FloBeds uses.
Finally, look at this (from the same website:
http://matresses101guide.com/Mattress_Construction_Air_Beds_Boxsprings_Fibers.html
This suggests that sagging can be the fault of a cheap or inadequate foundation rather than the mattress itself.
So, I'm wondering whether your issue may be due to: 1) the...

I'm checking into their guarantee and return policy. They do state on their website that if you get the mattress home and it's not working out, they will pick it back up and work with you to customize it to be comfortable. But, I'm not sure if they have a return or exchange policy - checking into that.
Regarding the configuration of the components, the interior components are blended Talalay latex. The firmest model has a 6" core of blended Talalay latex, with the mattress cover over it.
The medium model has the 6" blended Talalay core, with two 1" layers of softer blended Talalay latex on the top and on the bottom (this is because they make their latex mattresses two-sided), for a total of 8", and the mattress cover over that.
The softest model has the 6" blended Talalay core, with two 2" layers of softer blended Talalay latex on the...

Thanks Jimsocal and Don for your comments. I have the all natural talalay with 3 3" layers and the thin convulted ("eggcrate") talaly on top. I have a chronic illness and pain and need quite a soft top layer but with very good support overall. I sleep primarily on my side (and some on my back) and am 5'51/2", about 130 lbs.
I have the 2 sides of a queen set up differently so have tried every possible combination I think! Nothing works unless I have soft on top ; have tried medium on top and it's just not soft enough for me (in terms of relieving pressure points). Currently, on the side I sleep on, I have it set up with soft on top, then 2 firms, which is the combination I've slept the most on.
This combo is not ideal, as it's still a little too firm for...

I have also been told, by yet another manufacture, that you always want to have a very firm layer on the bottom, whether it is a Talalay bed for a Dunlop bed.
I have also been told that 100% organic natural latex will “soften up” over time.</quote>
Thanks for the info Eagle2. It's interesting you just wrote this because yesterday Dewey told me that they've "never had an issue with the latex breaking down". This was making me start to think that I was nuts, LOL. Dewey did contact me...
