the mattress was very comfortable at first, but after about a month, i began to have hip pains while sleeping. several weeks ago we flipped the mattress to the firm side and the pain went away. apparently, i needed firmness instead of the softness i was seeking. you might find it worthwhile to spend more to get the adjustable mattresses favored by many on this forum. so far we are satisfied with the costco purchase.

I had an Englander Nature's Finest All Natural Latex bed. I'm not sure it was the same model as the link you gave, as they all have different names per store to prevent price comparison. I can tell you it was the most uncomfortable bed I ever owned.
Before that one, I'd had an Englander all latex mattress for 17 yrs. It wasn't a pillow top and was flippable. I loved it! I've since read where Englander was bought out or changed ownership. I'm not sure about that, but I am sure the newer Englander was in no way comparable to the old one.
In the store the new one felt great, but once I'd slept on it for a few nights it became a torture device. Way to hard and unforgiving on pressure points. (I'm a side sleeper).
I...

I bought the Tempurpedic 2 piece twin XL foundation to use with it and seems to be fine and doesn't make any noise.
I chose it because it is designed for a very heavy mattress and I liked that it was made nail less for less chance of squeaks.
Downside it is expensive compared to other wood foundations

Superior Structural Design
- Constructed with premium, 5/8" medium density fiberboards (MDF) for increased strength and durability

Here is my our bed History starting about 4 years ago: (All of these are King)
1. W Hotel Bed and Featherbed combo
http://www.whotelsthestore.com/item.asp?curr_item_id=5
http://www.whotelsthestore.com/item.asp?curr_item_id=26&cat_subcat_id=10
We bought this because the wife and I stayed at The W hotel and loved it and was told this was the combo used at their hotels.
(Plus, I found a 40% off coupon!)
The bad news after about 2 years it started sagging and only got worse! The featherbed was nice, but like others on here know, you have to fluff them up almost daily and that wasn't happening. We lived with this for about...

I need to buy a new mattress and I have been reading a lot on this site. Seems that some guys around here tend to like Sleep Science brand of mattresses. From what I read the some say the Celeste is to firm some say it’s too soft and same for the ARA. I wish there was a way to try them out :(
I am not getting good sleeps with my current mattress (came free with my bed so its not a good one and its 8 years old). I weight around 170 lbs. I was wondering what mattress would be most likely right for me. My problem is that I keep turning all night (I sleep on my side), and if I cross my leg over I wakeup with back pain.
I checked the Costco page and...

Leo - My wife and I are "middle-aged". (If we live to be 100, that is.) Our bed is a 12 year-old queen Sealy firm innerspring, originally purchased from Costco. It looks and feels like it did on the day it was delivered. No dips, lumps, coil noise, etc. It's still flat and firm. It's topped with a memory foam topper for the last 5 years or so, also purchased at Costco. It's probably Novaform, and looks like 2". It's quite soft and acts more like a pillow top than body-hugging MF, so it's probably 3.x lb density.
We have no mattress-related pain, per se. I do wake-up with occasion whole-body stiffness, which is alleviated after a few minutes in the shower. But, we do have pillow-related neck pain which we are working on. I also have a delicate lower back due...

I had spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis when I was 13, and have had back issues (shoulder, neck, and low back/hip areas) off and on ever since. I see an excellent chiropractor about every month or so (Gonstead school) to manage flareups. I cannot sleep on any kind of air mattress or sofa without feeling wrecked - I'm better off on a padded floor. My husband doesn't have back trouble and can sleep pretty much on anything. I weigh about 105 lbs and he weighs about 170.
