Many of these types of foam will get body impressions over time. It bothers some people, and others it might not.
I am not aware of them updating the model recently (but don't follow it that closely). I think that whole estate line is pretty new, but they might be able to tell you the manufacture date it you ask.
I considered buying this mattress (the Macy's version) last year, but got scared off for the same reasons - worried that the foam would not last.

1. Stearns and Fosters, Pocket Coil, Firm, with a Pillowtop which has layers of regular foam, latex, and Memory Foam...
2. The other one is a Sealy, with Postropedic Springs, PLUS, Pocket Coils on top (3 inch), then ZONED sections of Memory Foam and Latex. I think there's Latex in mid-section (harder), and Memory Foam for your shoulder, and legs. I however don't feel the difference when I tried it... but it's there for sure.
So, question is... in general (theory), is Zoned sections of Memory Foam/Latex better... or layers (Memory Foam on top of Latex, and vice versa). I do NOT have enough information on thickness of each layer of Latex/Memory foam... so can't really rely on that...

Hmmm. That sounds like a contradiction, perfect but not firm enough for lower back?
It reads to me like it isn't perfect but is simply too soft and causing you back discomfort. Plus, it looks like they use plenty of PU foam in the S&F, so if anything it's only going to get softer in time. I've read many reviews that state S&F mattresses tend to break down and soften up faster than people expect.
If the mattress is too soft to start with (and will get softer as it ages and the foam breaks down) will placing a firmer 1" latex topper gain you anything...

We needed a king or else we never would have stopped sleeping on it. We got a king Stearns & Foster in 2003 or 2004 with a split box. It developed body impressions in less than one month. Giant ones, it was like sleeping...

I’m a newbie but have been doing lots of research the last few weeks so I have a “little” bit of knowledge now on this subject. I was wondering about the lack of reviews on the Keetsa mattresses? I saw them mentioned here:
So being from NY I stopped by to take a look at the Keetsa Latex as it really sounded like what I was looking for. (Nothing fancy, just an innerspring mattress with better quality materials than the “S” Brands, but without getting into Shifman/Hästens pricing). Unfortunately, their latex/innerspring mattress was way too soft… but I really liked the feel of their Tea Leaf Dream and their Tea Leaf Classic which are innerspring with a claimed “Memory Foam”. Their “Memory Foam” doesn’t really feel like most memory foams. It feels between the...

First of all the difference in feel between Talalay and Dunlop.
Talalay is more "airy" and Dunlop is more "dense". Think of angel food cake vs sponge cake. He might feel it is more bouncy because with a firmer topper, the lower layers of the mattress will have a more gradually rounded curve pressing on them from his body and there may be more springs pushing back at him than if he was compressing the springs with a "sharper" curve. He may in other words be describing a "feel" that comes from the springs but is enhanced by the topper.
Each person will feel the difference differently (depending on weight, weight...

Anyone here who owns this particular mattress and has no problems? :)
The Sleepy's rep told me that Russell Square is the same exact thing as Monet's Garden (in Macy's). Can someone please confirm this please? I was told that Macy's orders direct from the manufacturer, and Sleepy's gets them from their warehouse. Has S&F made any improvements to this model since 2009 release, and is there a chance I will get an older design of this model if it comes from the warehouse?
Also, the Sleepy's sales rep told me the memory foam is latex, but I read otherwise, which is accurate?
