Macy's beds - I've seen Posturepedics, Perfect Sleepers, Beautyrests, S&F's, 'Hotel Collection'. Around memorial, they had 2011 model Posturepedics up well over $1k in twin. Then in July, they had same beds well under $1k. Weird as Memorial Day is thee sales time of the year.
Macy's sells multiple brands. I don't think they are 'higher quality' than like, Sleep Train here. Macy's Stearns and Foster's are the same as Sleep Train's, just different names. That's a well known trick used in the mattress industry.

One huge thing about buying a bed ---- Make sure you can get a refund on your first set, know the terms and how much restocking fee if not satisfied.

Just keep in mind some 'latex' beds are just maybe a couple or few inch layer of latex. Example is Serta Vera Wang latex collection. Some of them are probably alright, but I hated the price they wanted. Didn't like the Simmons natural care - mattress too high. I don't like mattresses much over 10" height.
The thing with the layered all latex in a cover is it...

I had recently been looking to replace my twin mattress (had it for years..very saggy now) with a new one. Initially I had been looking at getting a Simmons Beautyrest mattress as my brother has one and it seems very good (had for several years now and not sagging at all). In doing my research into Simmons, as well as the other S brands, I had become very unhappy for several reasons. It appears that new mattresses these days from S brands come with low quality foam boxing in the inner coil springs and are prone to early failure. This was contrary to what a sales person had led me to believe. The other thing that really got me was that all the names for the mattresses varied from retailer to retailer. That to me was just low (but I'm sure you all know that).

Then we came home and read all of the problems that people have posted: bent foundations (boxspring), body aches and pains, inconsistent firmness...
I'm left with one basic question - if there is a 120-day in-home trial period and a 25 year warranty - and people are having problems with this new technology - How has Serta been on the complaint line? Has anyone had trouble exchanging their mattress for a different model?
And for all of you who have purchased a Sealy iComfort Revolution Mattress - what's the feeling now, months later? Did the mattress soften up? Are there areas...

I purchased an iComfort Insight; it was delivered about nine days ago. I spent several hours across two days comparing mattresses at a local store, comparing back-to-back various spring and memory foam options from Serta, Tempurpedic, and Simmons. I was drawn at first to the Revolution but realized it'd be far too plush, given that for the past five years I'd been sleeping on an inner-spring King Koil. (Background aside: I'm in my late twenties and have no obvious back problems, except tightness without pain in my lower back in the mornings that can be solved with a good stretch. I've been lucky so far, and my previous mattress had seemed to serve me well enough. Before buying this mattress, I'd spent two weeks traveling, during which I'd used a sleeping...

My boyfriend and I have been mattress shopping for a good week and a half.. The whole proccess has been daunting and at first very confusing! We decided we better do some research before just jumping right into it.(although we did actually buy a bed right there and then that first day, but had second thoughts the next day so we went to cancel it, and I'm glad we did!!) We almost bought a simmons beautyrest world class, but through research its led me to believe that the coils in these beds now a days aren't as durable as they once were.(?) Through further research, we've learned that the pillowtops are also, and mainly, the cause for...
