Some people here said foundation is fine! Which is factually incorrect.

Actually, firstposter,  those people appear not to have had the same troubles you have had with the foundation. That makes their statements that the foundation is fine correct. Or do you think those people are lying?

Re: SLEEP SCIENCE LATEX MATTRESS PROBLEMS - mc4nam

Just return the sleep science foundation and get a different foundation. I just received my sleep science king latex. (I will post review after a couple of weeks of use)

I bought the Tempurpedic 2 piece twin XL foundation to use with it and seems to be fine and doesn't make any noise.

I chose it because it is designed for a very heavy mattress and I liked that it was made nail less for less chance of squeaks.

Downside it is expensive compared to other wood foundations

I am sleeping on the soft side. I find it too firm. I weight 250 though, so it may be that I am just pushing through that 1" of softer latex without feeling it. that's really all it is - 1" of soft latex and 3 of medium instead of 4" of medium. I certainly don't feel like I am sinking down into it. The only other thing is that maybe there is a variance quality control and these beds are very different.

I put the foundation together myself. I honestly feel like if they had made some tweaks in the design, it would have been fine. The metal bars seem very sturdy, but they oddly placed a ton of them at the edges and none in the center. If they had actual threads to screw the screws into, they probably wouldn't squeak much.

Yeah, all the tube fit inside and then there are hand screws that don't actually screw into the male tubes - they just push down on them to hold them in place.. and there's like 20 joints on the thing. Plus, the mattress sinks into the unsupported areas.. basically, its a steaming pile.....

Also, I tried to contact Sleep Science, but both their info@sbsleepscience.com and info@southbayinternational email addresses were forwarded to patrick-something @ earthlink, which was bouncing!

Since it's an E. King it is equivalent to two twins side by side. So you could add a super-soft Talalay topper to only your side. Yes, it would create a difference between the two sides but unless one of you is prone to sleeping over the center portion, it should not be a problem.  Or you could buy a king size and see if your husband is bothered by it.

Thanks for the review and keep us posted!

Actually, it's two Twin XL's side-by-side. A Twin XL topper may be a little more difficult to find.

Ok, first night on the new bed. We got the eastern king with the foundation. DH is 6'4" and about 230, I am 5'6" and 130. This is our first latex foam purchase.

The foundation on my side of the bed is squeaking already. Not loud, but that is disappointing. Will definately be sending it back when we have another foundation set. Otherwise, it is very solid.

We both slept painlessly, for the first time in a long time. DH loved it and woke up once in the night. He said it is perfect and was raving about it this am.

While I didn't experience the lower back pain that I did with my old mattress, I woke up a lot throughout the night, which I usually do anyway, so obviously not the fault of...

Thankyou, you are the first person who exactly confirmed how shoddy and bad this foundation is.

I read that in one of your post that you said the mattress is too firm. I suppose you are using the medium side of the mattress. Can you tell me how firm is the medium side? Because I slept on the soft side of this mattress and it was just too soft and I did not like that.

I do not like sleeping on the...

Rejuvenite low profile latex pillow - jiazzi
May 7, 2010 6:19 PM
I'm sleeping on a Nature's Rest zoned plush queen sized pillow and it's hurting the back of my neck!  It is really nice except for the fact that it is too high for my neck - even as a back sleeper.  It feels fine if I'm resting on my side but not so good when I end up sleeping on my back.  I bought the Costco/Sleep Science 100% latex mattress which I need to wait on as well as a 2 inch Visco2 mattress enhancer, if that helps.

I'm thinking of the Rejuvenite low profile pillows like the Renewal (http://www.sleeplikeabear.com/product/RJ-RN) or the 100% natural low profile pillow (http://www.sleeplikeabear.com/product/RJ-OL).  I wonder if these options are lower profile than the Nature's Rest that I currently have?

It is really hard for me to sleep at night and I've never been able to find the right pillow,...
