Don't know what else to consider doing....mattress suggestions? - texfire

From 2005ish to 2009, I had a knock-off air mattress that at my younger age, slept fine. It eventually leaked and I have been an unhappy sleeper since then.
In early 2009, went to the SAT bed but didn't like it.
Later in 2009, went to the FloBed which is what I have now. I awake now every morning with moderate to severe tightness in the sacral area and laterally on both sides of my lower back. I'm on a med over firm over firm grouping of layers. Additionally, I tend to sleep in the middle of the bed and move around a bit, and I feel the separation between the two sides of the bed and it is annoying. I ham seriously questioning staying with the FloBed and at times am ready to throw it away....the pain is approaching...

I have a Comfortaire GS 900 queen size. I'm not sure how it compares with the Opulence but I am very pleased with it. I have had it about 13 months now. I can tell you I have posted on this forum before. I was struggling to find a bed that was comforatable for me and had tried several kinds - including "normal" mattresses, the Flobed and I even had a Select Comfort a number of years ago (it was one of their lower end beds). My Comfortaire has a latex convoluted topper - not the memory foam topper. The air mattresses in it are not as deep as those in the Select Comfort - they are maybe 3" - 4" deep. I think the depth of the mattress, the latex topper and the thick mattress cover have a lot to do with the comfort. I often sit up in...

Well they might let you stay if you don't post your link and don't say more than this one time where you are from. Just your first name or even your forum name is enough for anyone here.
You may try posting something and see if they let it stand ... ie is good information as opposed to advertising.
Don't want to say any more in case I end up talking to air again lol.

Phoenix,
I spent today visiting furniture stores again. I think I hit all of them within a 35 mile radius anyway....I stopped at Denver Mattress in Davenport, Iowa today and spoke to someone about what they had. Unfortunately, the two men who were in the store knew nothing about the ILD...nor who manufactured the latex foam that was in their mattresses. They did not have any mattresses that were just latex but had a couple that had 2-3 inches of latex over visco foam or something....I laid on a lot of beds today at every store I went to....latex, visco, memory, springs, pillow tops....I have to say I loved the feel on my joints of the memory foam but it's really not an option for me. I dont like what's in them or anything I've read or heard about them but I laid on them...
Select Comfort vs. Comfortaire - ctd104

My wife and I are about to spend a good deal of money on an air mattress and just want to get an idea of anyone's experience with Select Comfort or Comfortaire?
I have been searching the Internet for days looking for comparisons and can not find any good ones. Can anyone give me some insight on the differences between the two companies and which one may be a good value.
We are looking at the Select Comfort Innovation Series Limited Edition and the Comfortaire Opulence.
Any insight would be appreciated!
Thanks!...

I purchased a Sealy Hunter Creek Pillow Top Mattress from the Room Store/Mattress Discounters in Sterling VA, delivered to my home along with a complete bedroom suite. Within two months the mattress started sagging, causing lower back, shoulder and neck pain, making it impossible to sleep through the night. the mattress has a one-year replace or refund warranty. I contacted the Room Store Customer Loyalty Dept and the hoop jumping began. It has now been a month and Room Store is making it quite clear they are not going to honor the warranty. After completing two on-line claim forms, they sent a contracted tech to my home two weeks later, who poked at the mattress a few times and said he would report back to Room Store that the mattress is fine. During the hoop jumping days, I learned this particular mattress is overstocked in the NC warehouse and being pushed by the stores as a promotion to unsuspecting customers who will undoubtedy be...
Is there an automatic air pump? - mtdoragary
Oct 12, 2011 4:02 PM
Is there an air pump that automatically maintains a set pressure in a single-tube air mattress? My Comfortaire loses air overnight even though I've replaced the pump valve plate and seals and have water tested the mattress in my pool. I need a pump that automatically adds air to maintain a set pressure....
Can't find Comfortaire leak - mtdoragary

I've replaced the valve plate and the seals in the pump. I've deflated the bladder, weighted it down in the bottom of the pool and slowly inflated it. NO air bubbles! Hose was under water too! It leaks. I've plugged the hose and it takes three days to get noticeably soft. But when hooked to the pump, it gets soft overnight. I'm at wit's end! matress is eight years old and has been moved once. Is there a pump that automatically maintains pressure by adding air when it senses a drop in pressure? I e-mailed Comfortaire and they said a slow leak won't make bubbles when the mattress is held underwater. I never saw an air leak that didn't make bubbles and I've been checking tires for slow leaks that way for sixty years!...

I have been in the mattress industry about 5 years and like some of my colleagues (definitely not all) I find much more joy in having fewer exchanges and a greater number of phone calls from my clients 2-3 months after purchase saying, "I really am sleeping so much better! Thank-you!" To get to this point in my Sleep Consultant career, here is my method (which you should expect to take you 45 - 90 minutes depending on your needs, issues, differences of opinion between you and your partner, finances, etc.
- Triple Choice - Most mainstream stores set up beds in three's. A Firm, a Soft or Medium and a Pillow-Top. Finding which of these three you like best will help you eliminate 2/3 of the...
