Leo3, Sleeplikeabear has Latex International’s Talatech Talalay latex toppers:
http://www.sleeplikeabear.com/talatech_toppers
The 3" toppers are $441 each for Queen size. Are these blended? If so that's a lot to charge!
PS -Thanks, I know how to create hyperlink, but it's just not working for me. I tried with Firefox and IE, and I just can't get it to work!
If you know how to hyperlink it should work LOL. I used Firefox. Cut & paste the URL. As Jim said in another post, you have to click post, THEN go back in and edit and enter the URL again. It just is a strange system here.
Have you looked at
Foamsourcefor natural latex.
All latex prices have gone way up over the year....

I did order from foamonline already, but have not received. If you want to check the price, you have to configure the piece and put it in you in shopping cart. A 30 x 12 x 2" piece of blended Talatech latex was about $25. They told me the latex was made by latex international, but they no longer do 100% natural talalay. I ordered another piece and a seat cushion, so my total was high enough to avoid shipping. I think there is a shipping cost below $100.
If your problem is the shoulders (too firm I assume?) then you should try zoning it some how. I well put up a posting after I try a softer piece just under the shoulders.
I can see where you ordered 30" length for zoning the shoulders, by why 12"? Shouldn't the width be 60"? I am confused. When I...

Ah, that will teach me to more closely read descriptions. I thought it was a full Latex bed. However, this appears to be too good to be true - a full Talalay Latex bed for this cheap? http://www.originalmattress.com/products_and_prices/mattresses_and_box_springs/foam_and_latex_mattresses.aspx What's your take on this? There is a store about 15 minutes for me so I plan on checking it out in person. What questions should I ask to be sure this is high quality and not some knockoff?
The Costco mattress has a polyurethane base. The "air" component is air channels cut into the foam to help it breathe. If you click on the image, you can get a second image that show what is inside. Or go to the Sleep Science website. I actually tried that mattress and it is pretty good, but pretty firm as well - too firm for me and thicker than I would like.
I...

Leo, It is queen size. I can't really tell if there are seams or not in the rockymountainmattress latex pieces. I can see some lines running vertically, but I am not sure if that is from the mold or cutting machine. If there is a seam, I can't detect any glue or cuts and the end where they would be connected. My understanding is that they can't make a queen size piece without a seam? Anyway, it is not really noticable if there is a seam.
The holes look pretty much the same on both sides. One side seems rougher than the other. I assum that is where it was cut. On the 1" piece, 3 of the sides are smooth and one looks cut. You can go to rockymountainmattress website to check prices.

Premature victory report... all relevant, but am concluding I can't have both back and side sleep perfect. :-(( - shovel99

Hi Folks,
Second night on my zoned masterrpiece wasn't as good as first night. I woke with some back pain, though not as much as before, previous tries.
I must conclude that most of my problem is sleeping back and side .... and not being able to stand memory foam which is the only product that can accommodate both with support.
I have to have really firm on my back, because the minute my back senses my butt going down, it works to hold it up.... the reason for ;pain in the morning.
But I also need soft when I sleep on my side to accommodate supporting 170 # on about 4 square inches of cheesy old body mass.
Obviously, the previous night I must have slept on my side on the softer mattress... zoned properly for side sleep. It worked.
Equally obviously, last night I slept on my back... on the soft mattress configured...

That is GREAT info zzzombie, thanks for posting it. It turned out my order didn't go through for it due to a typing error I made on my billing info, kind of glad now. Not only is that ILD likely way too soft for me, but the product sounds pretty sketchy based on their responses. Will probably just have to bite the bullet and get it from Rocky Mountain Mattress or take the risk with Sunset Medical Supply and their "Talatech" product. Thanks again!...

Jim....ever get the feeling your banging your head on a wall! Now back on topic ..I think that "Comfort Sleep Systems" may be the source on this Costco item. If they are then they do use Talatech from Latex International in their mattresses. I'm guessing this from the trademarked name "comfort Illusions" which is a name they use for one of their mattresses (oddly though this mattress is memory foam?). They don't show any toppers under products for sale. From Costcos' description this sounds like a very soft latex which is what I want for my "firm" Costco latex mattress. Bob...

This is my first post. I’ve read most of this forum posts (including legacy) re latex mattresses.
So……..Help!!!
I’ve fallen prey to an engineers’ nightmare “Analysis Paralysis”. It’s time to purchase a new eastern king mattress.
Currently we’re sleeping on an 8 yr old Serta Perfect Night (non-pillow top, no-flip) approximately 15” thick which has developed body ruts about 1.5”-2” deep on both sided with the complimentary continental divide (we call it Puff-A-Lump) in the middle. I’m 5’11”, 265lbs, 58yrs old and the lovely wife is 5’4”, 180lbs, also 58yrs old. (I know….for Christmas we joined the YMCA and are using it regularly so these weights WILL be reduced). We’re...
