I went to visit my friend. He had this Sleep Science latex mattress set one just put in guest room along with the foundation.
Funny. I was the first one to sleep on this.
Midnight I wake up.
I am sinking in the middle of the bed!!!!
I was astonished.
I wake up switch on the lights and knock at my friends room. he comes and we both look up and down the mattress set.
WHAT DO WE FIND.
THE FOUNDATION IS ONLY METAL BARS AND THERE IS not 1 bar in the center!
I might also add that the hollow metal bars are covered by a junk looking vinyl cover that gives...

It's crazy, but my wife and I just "retired" a 15-year old Sealy Posturepedic queen mattress and boxspring set. It was flippable and still slept pretty darn well. Despite it being a pillowtop, there are no visible craters or depressions in it. Crazy. Guess they just don't make 'em like they used to.

As I understand it from this forum, the major properties of latex seem to be that it is more antimicrobial (hypoallergenic?), does not wear out as fast as coil or foam mattresses, and has more "spring" to it than memory foam or Tempur-pedic. The longevity isn't as important a factor as whether I like the feel of something, and thus far, I haven't ever *seen* any latex mattresses. None of the salespeople in the mattress stores have even mentioned them, although they were happy to show us a range of traditional and Tempur-pedic. The closest I have come is a 3" square of latex on a Tempur-pedic display used for comparison. I do like the Tempur-pedic/MF "sinking feeling," like melting into a bed and being comfortable...

I had spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis when I was 13, and have had back issues (shoulder, neck, and low back/hip areas) off and on ever since. I see an excellent chiropractor about every month or so (Gonstead school) to manage flareups. I cannot sleep on any kind of air mattress or sofa without feeling wrecked - I'm better off on a padded floor. My husband doesn't have back trouble and can sleep pretty much on anything. I weigh about 105 lbs and he weighs about 170.

Looks like you have tried Sleep science costco matress with its foundation and tempur-Pedic foundation.
How is it working out for you?
Is the mattress firm enough?
Does it sink in with its foundation? If yes did the problem go away with tempur-pedic foundation?
I am in process of buying a new matress, sleep science from costco is what I am considering.
Few comments on you experiance with it will be helpful.
Thanks

I saw your post and I am wondering if you can share your experience on the Sleep Science Latex mattress you bought from Costco..IF you already bought it.
I read some review that says this bed is too soft and does not provide support.
My husband has back pain problems and he wants something firm..maybe with an ILD of 26 minimum.
Recently we went browsing at Mattress Giant, and we tried many beds and he liked the Tempurpedic Grand Bed.
He said it was firm and yet has the slowly-sinking feeling. But of course we are not going to spend $4000 for a Queen mattress..plus I have heard quite bad reviews of the memory foam, esp Tempurpedic.
I have a Leggett and Platt Queen Adjustable Base with Massage.
If you can...
