Summer, I love my Flobeds latex bed so much.  I am not quite 5 feet so that was my only issue that I wanted a topper that was slimmer than what came with the mattress. If Brylane did not have that sale, Dave would have found me a 1" topper since were were experimenting together since he really cared about me being comfortable especially after my car accident. He even let me exchange two of my X-Firm natural latex cores for Super Firm blended  latex cores since I needed even a firmer bed due to the herniated disks I now have from being hit so hard from behind.  I was surprised that I was not allergic to the blended Talalay latex (I had problems with 100% man-made latex pillows that did not use the Talalay process and had to give the pillows away so I had ordered initially the natural...

I think the natural Talalay Pillow from JCPenney is the pillows that I have from Overstock. I bought 6 to find 2 the right size for me and use the others as Shams and guest pillows.  I know you will love a Latex Pillow.  Dave at FloBeds  sent me a Queen Size Latex pillow but it was too thick for me since I am petite.

Hi Kimberly. Go here and see what you think.

http://www.sleepez.com/latex-mattress-13000.htm

This is where I always wind up when I select there 13000. I see your point regarding the link you show. However you must extrapolate the dimensions based on a picture that is different from the link I posted.

I just wish there website was a little more clear and a little bit easier to operate. I'm not accusing them of anything. And it may just be that I am a poor operator of websites, or just don't get it! But it has always seemed to me that SleepEZ would prefer to sell you the...

Kimberly,

Yes!  Thank you!  I totally want honesty here.  I'm not so concerned about organic when it comes to bed choices.  I'm concerned about chemical flame retardents and natural latex.  I am SO unhappy with the PU foam mattress that I'm wanting to stick with natural latex.  But whether it's organically grown isn't much of a concern.

So based on your assessment, I need to rethink the buying local plan and look at an online retailer?

Amber, to the best of my knowledge, chemical flame retardents are not added to latex during the manufacturing process.  There was some discussion on this forum about Latex Green making a latex with flame retardents, but I think he also said that particular formulation...

Eagle,

The Sleepez 13000 model offered in a choice of Dunlop or blended Talalay latex:

http://www.sleepez.com/latex-mattress-13000.htm

It says right in the description that the layers are 2.8" and the total is 10.4" (excluding cover).

The Sleepez 13000 model offered in 100% natural Talalay latex:

http://www.sleepez.com/natural.htm

It says in the description that the layers total 12" (4x3=12) (excluding cover).

I have a Flobeds and like them just as much as you, but I do believe you are splitting hairs here.  There is no lack of information on the Sleepez site about what comprises the mattress.

Yes, Sleepez does advocate blended Talalay latex over natural blended latex.  They state on their website that blended Talalay latex combines the best qualities of natural latex (softness) with synthetic latex (strength and durability).  They believe that blended...

I'm sorry for resurrecting this oldish thread, but it's so informative and I'm too lazy to start a new thread. So,  budgy, maybe you'll see this.  You said the above in response to someone who had some compression only a month after sleeping on a new bed.

I was almost ready to order a SleepEz 10,000 but am having serious doubts after reading this. Now I'm wondering if maybe I should reconsider, and go with something with a 6" Dunlop core. For instance, Foam Source sells those. The reasons I crossed that off my list was that they only have free shipping over $1,000 and even that is to the curb only. The thought of hauling something that heavy and awkward, possibly by myself, up my long driveway put me off. That and...

So, Flobeds has a slightly different slant.  They tip their hats to 100% natural.

In reality, we both know that there is little to no documented evidence that one is superior to the other and I can't imagine how one would go about demonstrating this.  In the end, the benefits of blended vs natural is a subjective experience.  There are going to be people who want a 100% natural product and the 100% Natural Talalay is going to speak to them.  There...

I ordered the queen size Blended Talalay Latex Posture V-Zone High Profile bed.  Specifications are 11-1/4" thick with organic cotton and wool cover.  The latex consists of four layers of selectable levels of firmness based on body height and weight.  It is selectable for each side of the bed so my husband can select a different firmness level based on his preference, height and weight.  I received notification about 10 minutes ago that it just shipped from the California factory.  I'm really excited to receive it.  My husband has been experiencing shoulder issues due to an injury and rarely sleeps well at night.

I decided on a latex bed after staying at a resort a while back at a friend's timeshare.  We stayed in the guest room and when I got into bed, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud.  The next morning, I stripped the...

Hi Gang, I hope all is well. I am looking into purchasing a latex mattress from a Canadian distributor named Latex Mattress Direct. Their King is $1,299 Canadian. Shipping is free. Their website is: http://www.latexmattressdirect.ca/latex_mattress_king.php I will call on Monday but this is advertised as a 100% Pure Latex Dunlop Mattress. Does anyone have any feed back on Dunlop or any experience with this? Thanks.

Your original question was wondering about Dunlop latex which I have been researching recently to make a decision on my own latex bed purchase.  After researching till information is falling out of my head, I purchased the Flobed online this morning.  One of the reasons I chose Flobed was the great source of information and videos they had on their website.  Flobed sells both Dunlop and Talalay latex, both blended and 100% natural in...
