Re: Returning Costco Sleep Science and replacing with Flobeds - will post the results - Q119

I agree...the return process was so easy. Costco really is the best and I was disappointed that I had to return it, but that is why I bought if from Costco in the first place - I knew I wouldn't have any problems if I had to return it.  I hope the Flobeds can alleviate the pain. It seemed to work with the Costco bed for a few months, then came back full force and sometimes worse. I went with M/F/XF on my side, so we'll see if that does the trick. Will keep you all posted.

Returning Costco Sleep Science and replacing with Flobeds - will post the results - Q119

The Costco Sleep Science latex is giving me tremendous backpain. So, I called to have it picked up and then ordered a Flobed. Looking forward to "hopefully" noticing a big difference and waking up happy! Will let you all know what the differences (if any) are.

did you also order foundation. which flobeds configuration did you order? Thanks.

(looks like it is a big big problem for people with low back pain to find the right mattress - an ordeal)...

Re: What do you think about Sleep Science Memory foam mattress? - Phoenix

If I was going to buy a memory foam mattress (which of course I'm not), it would look something like this http://www.chirosleeper.com/chirosleeper-diagram.htm

An inch of latex either on top of or instead of the 8lb Venus would probably be nice too.

I have no idea how much this costs (emailed them a few minutes ago) but elsewhere on their website they say it can be customized as well. Relief mart itself has been around for a while and is BBB accredited with an A rating (meaning they are more likely to work with you if you have some problems). The foams look like they are probably Foamex Venus and Sensus which if true are very good memory foams.

Couple of comments.

Comparing the Dr Breuse or a latex mattress to a memory foam mattress can be a little misleading. I seriously doubt though that the Dr Breus even could be called a latex mattress since it probably (almost certainly) has a fair bit of poly in the top where it counts. I also doubt that what it feels like is indicative of what a decent latex mattress feels like. If you want a more appropriate latex testing ground at Sleepy's then the latex bliss would be a much better representation of a "latex mattress". No matter what you found using Sleepy's as a testing ground ... I would seriously look at your many other options if you are thinking about using them as anything but a way to test different materials.

The Sleep Science has a LOT (6.5") of memory foam in it and...

I'm sorry to hear that your pain came back after it looked for a short while like you had solved it. Must be really frustrating.

I have to say though that's why I love Costco ... 6 months later and they still take it back! Now that's good service.

Re: New Natural Latex Beds on Sale Now at Costco - CleanSleep

Hello everyone!  I followed this thread closely, reading every comment at least twice! I really enjoyed the pictures and info as I waited patiently for my Sleep Science latex mattress from Costco to arrive.  We find it to be perfect.  I thought I would have to buy toppers or something to make it softer, ( I probably will in the future), but it is really fine to us right now.  I love the feel of the latex.  Firm and supportive, yet soft and pliable.   And I really do feel (after only 4 nights) that I don't wake up with extreme lower back pain like I used to. The pain is not gone but my back definitely feels better. And now that I think about it, my shoulder doesn't hurt and my arm no longer feels numb. I sleep on my back, side and (unfortunately usually end up) on my...
Latex pillows? - avuton
Nov 7, 2010 4:17 PM
Hi,

Found this place after looking for more information about the Costco Sleep Science latex mattress. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the cash together in time for the sale, so I'm waiting on the next one (I'm patient). My slightly offtopic question is, after hearing the praises of latex mattresses, is the same song to be sung about latex pillows? I actually find pillows to be the biggest down fall of my night of sleep. I'm new here and did a couple of searches, but found nothing about the "best pillow".

Thanks!

What do you think about Sleep Science Memory foam mattress? - njchen24

Greetings:

I am shopping for a new mattress and narrow down to 2 type, Latex $1600 (Dr Breus, no specification found) and memory foam Queen Supreme comfort (Sleep Science) ~ $2400 without frame.

The Sleep Science specification seems to be superior to Tempur Pedic in density and offer a 20 years warranty sagging equivalent to TP.  I can't find any specification for Dr Breus and am not sure if the mattress has several layers of Latex or has a core foam then the top layer is latex.

My wife and I weight about ~120 lbs each.  Since we are both side and back sleeper (50/50), I lean toward the memory foam.  Thinking that it will allow more sinking thus having a better posture.  Is my assumption wrong?  I have tried a memory foam and Dr Breus mattress at a local Sleepys store and it seems to...
