I ordered a Plush Rejuvenite Latex topper (3" Cal King, $422 Shipped) to go on top of my Costco Sleep Science 10" Cal King Dunlop Latex Mattress ($1247 Shipped) We only have slept on it for one night so far, but the results are very positive.
I have actually had the sleep science mattress for about 8 months, but we were using a queen unknown ILD latex topper with it since my girlfriend and I found the bed much too firm. It took me forever to decide on the topper, partially because I was recovering from the money spent on the mattresses and bedroom set and partially because I wasn't sure what ILD the queen was, which we both enjoyed that combination a ton, aside from losing the space gained by the cal king.

I tried one of the Sleep Science that had 2" of 5lb memory foam, and the quality seemed pretty good. It is also pretty unusual to use the high density memory foams they do. It seems similier to the TP Allura, which I liked laying on for 10 minutes. Not sure how it would work over night.
The reviewers on the Costco website seem to like it, and Costco has the best return policy around. The one I bought ended up being too firm. I returned it, and it did not cost me a thing. Have you slept on your family's...

My side is M/F/XF (I am 5'6" and 130), DH's side is F/XF/SF (6'4", 220+). While I didn't sleep well, it had more to do with me constantly evaluating the bed to see if it was better. This happened with the Costco bed too. Whenever I have something new, my mind can't relax and so I get little sleep. Tonight will probably be better. My side is firmer than the Costco mattress, but more...

Sleep science does make some 5 LB memory foam mattresses http://www.sbsleepscience.com/product.php?cid=1 but the Emma isn't one of them. The OP is mistaken in his belief that the Emma is 5 LB. It is quite likely that 3 LB memory foam will break down relatively quickly. It would also be fairly soft.
They own their own Chinese factory http://www.southbayinternational.com/facilities.php which allows them to build their mattresses at less cost.
While it is on sale again at Costco and is probably less than you would find it elsewhere and they do have a great return policy... it's not...

The 8lb visco is Foamex Venus (was hoping he would surprise me and say it was Aerus as I haven't seen it in 8lb anywhere)
The 5lb visco is Foamex Sensus
It can be purchased without going through a chiropractor and he quoted me $1800 for a queen which I would assume is not their "best price" since it wasn't a serious "I'm buying it now" conversation.
Seems reasonable to me ... at least in comparison to other good quality memory foam mattresses ... considering it is using what I consider to be top tier memory foams and also has 3" of talalay.

PS: if you've had a chance to read the other thread you will see it's been confirmed that the Dr Breus is almost all poly with just a bit of latex in it ... 20%

I'm planning to purchase the mattress Sleep Science 10" Natural Latex Mattress soon - sort of hoping Costco might come up with another sale - but I do have a question:
Someone mentioned having purchased a slatted bed base from IKEA. I was considering doing the same, though given that I am working with a 100-year-old bed frame, I'm not sure the Sultan Laxeby (with 39 slats for a full) will work with the bed frame. I am considering instead the Sultan Luroy instead - it is 17 birch slats for a full-sized bed. The web site is here: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60160217
Does anyone who has this matttress already have any thoughts as to how well such a slatted base like this would work? Is anyone else even using slats? Is...
