Oops!
You need to buy the Aerus memory from walmart.com.
They only sell the cheap stuff at the brick'n mortar stores.

At a price point of $614 for a queen mattress you are in the ball park of an all latex mattress from Foam By Mail. Say $582 for a 6 inch [36 ILD = medium firm] and $182 for a 2 inch [20 ILD = soft] topper you're at $764 plus...

I ordered a FBM 3" 100% Natural Talalay Latex Foam topper [ILD of 20—24] over their 5" HD Poly base [ILD 36] for our RV and it's too firm for both of us. I'm about 215 lbs and the wife (on anonymous forums) is about 135 lbs. I'm adding a 2" layer of FBM [20 ILD] and a thinner cover in the hopes that 5" of latex will cradle better.
To complete your surgery a 2" layer of FBM soft [ILD 20] under a 2" layer of FBM [ILD 32] over your mattress/box springs would be much more plush and supportive than my 8" on a board set-up or your original...

Does anyone know the density (lbs/cubic foot) and ILD/IFD of the Intelliform support layer for the Aerus mattress below? I have contacted Foamex/FXI and am still waiting on their response. Thank you!
- Base support layer: Full 7'' layer of IntelliForm support foam

I'm looking at purchasing a memory foam mattress in the range of $300-$600 and am unsure of which one to purchase. I'm a stomach sleeper and believe that a firmer mattress would be best. I've read on this forum and others that density is a key ingredient in the purchase in regards to durability of the mattress, which is one worry I have when purchasing a memory foam mattress.
Looking at mattresses in this range with a higher density than average (4lbs), Aerus seems to do pretty well in reviews, but some customers complain about it feeling like clay or the mattress running too hot. In addition they don't have the best BBB rating and their warranty is only for 5 years.
Others such as Sleep Innovations or Lucid by Linen Spa sold on Amazon are reviewed very well, but...

If you would prefer memory foam, 1-2" of 4 lb. foam should do it. I'm not familiar with foambymail.com's inventory, but try to steer clear of the memory foam made in China. Foamex has a 4 lb. memory foam called Aerus that's certified low VOC.
Just checked their website and it looks like foambymail.com has an Aerus knock-off. You're not going to get...

Blue Print:
Bottom Layer: 6inches LuxHQ from foambymail http://www.foamdistributing.com/LHQ_2/lux-hq-foam-mattress.html
Middle Layer: 4inch/4lb Aerus topper from sleepwarehouse.com http://www.sleepwarehouse.com/aerus4lbmemoryfoammattresstopper.aspx
Top Layer: 4inch/5lb Sensus topper from sleepwarehouse.com http://www.sleepwarehouse.com/sensus5lbmemoryfoammattresstopper.aspx
My plan is to place them on the floor until I can grab a platform bed frame from craigslist or somewhere for cheap. Now my place gets dusty and...

Well I bought this mattress from Overstock.com for $300:
http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Bodipedic-Essentials-8-inch-Queen-King-size-Memory-Foam-Mattress/6153386/product.html
The first couple weeks -- I loved it! So comfortable, wonderful... but now, it's like the foam has softened and doesn't have any "memory" anymore... it's just soft as can be and not at all supportive. It's absolutely terrible now to sleep on...
So, I'm thinking about spending more money and buying a memory foam topper of better quality that will last, and I can just put on top of this mattress. I'm looking at these two:
Aerus 2.5" 5lb memory foam topper from Sam's Club: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/aerus-natural-premium-5-0-lb-2-5-memory-foam/185599.ip?sprodId=185599
3" 5lb memory foam topper from FoamByMail.com: http://www.foambymail.com/V_5/5lb-memory-foam-topper.html
I've heard that CostCo/Sams foam is actually cheap foam (even if the brand is the same), so I definitely don't want to get screwed again. I know that FBM is not...

I tried memory foam in the top layer. I used a 2" 4lb Aerus memory foam topper which I had in a guest bedroom. I tried it only on my side of the mattress (to avoid disrupting my wife's side of the mattress). This is the config (from top to bottom):
2" 4lb Aerus memory foam
2" all-natural latex 21 ILD
6" blended Talalay latex 32 ILD
Having the memory foam in the top layer improved things a lot for me. I found the top surface to be softer and more accommodating, providing better pressure relief. I will try this for a few more days to insure these findings continue to be true.
I think I have two more findings:
1) 4" of soft material is too much for me. With either 2" + 2" latex 21...

http://www.walmart.com/ip/3-Aerus-Natural-Memory-Foam-Topper-w-300TC-Sateen-Cover/11030693#about
It is a 4lb memory foam made in the USA by FXI, and is supposed to have enhanced breathability over traditional memory foams. I am impressed with this topper thus far, super comfy, the quality seams better than my previous one, the initial memory foam smell is almost nonexistent, and it comes with a nice deep pocket mattress pad. The heat thing, well it's still up in the air... Even though this is a new product for me, I would recommend it to others seeking a 3" topper. Less than 200. for my queen bed (remember the cover's included and it's seriously about as good as a Hotel Collection one for which I paid close to 100.) and free shipping (heavy product)!
Decided against purchasing a...
