I'd like to know where some of the idiots who posted reviews on here get their products or are they are obviously shills. If you buy the cheapest model offered in this series, do not expect it to be wonderful and hold up. We looked and researched long and hard for a quality mattress. Both my wife and I have back, hip, leg and/or neck issues. We had previously spent over $2/K on a Sealy pillow top, but it just was not as comfortable as we had hoped and we always tossed and turned and woke up sore. The consensus was that the old style spring mattress has run its course. Its been modified and upgraded and tweaked as much as it can be and the top models out there are the best you can get. They still are not good for people needing proper support. The way to go, and where an overwhelming majority of buyers are moving to and happy with is the comfort foam or air/foam combo mattress. My only concern was the heat issue. I do not like a hot bed at all. I was very hesitant about dropping $3/K on a perfect sleeper or similar model if in the summer I'd be sweating instead of sleeping. I discovered the iComfrot series by Serta, and their cool foam technology was just what I was looking for. I understand that it may not be 100% cool, but knocking off the heat factor to a decent degree would be acceptable. The first issue we had was finding a retailer who had them in the store so we could look at it, see and feel the construction quality, and lay on it for some time to see what felt good and what did not. My advice, never buy a big ticket product ever without touching it and testing it in person first. My wife discovered that Boscov's had them in the store for buyers to try and check out. Thank you Boscov's!! We took a trip down and we tried all of the models they had from the base model to the top top of the line. We laid on them for quite some time and never got over heated by the foam at all. Construction was very high quality on all except the lowest end model which seemed too thin and basic. The Genius was a little too soft for us, and the top of the line Revolution was a little too stiff. The Prodigy felt perfect, just enough give to hold your weight and keep your spine in line and no pressure on the sore spots. We decided to purchase the Prodigy. We would have loved to have had the deluxe base, but at $2975 it was over priced in our opinion. Serta needs to get that down to $1500. The bed was delivered with a standard Serta iComfort boxspring set the next Friday. Again, the quality was top notch. The bed is SO comfortable. It is different from a standard inner spring bed. There is no bounce, and it seems like your dropping onto a firm but soft pad when you lay down. The key to the different bed levels and firmness is the thickness of the core and the number of layers. The more layers the different the feel and the higher the price. As for any smell that some complained about annoyingly, we had a very slight smell the next morning that was like vanilla ice cream. It didn't last the day. Both my wife and I received a free iComfort scrunch pillow, a $160 value. These are not exactly like other heavy foam pillows. These contain the same foam the bed is made from. It allows your head to sink only the right amount to keep it perfectly level and comfortable. It is heavier than a normal pillow. I am a pillow scruncher. I used to scrunch to get the pillow to the proper firmness I liked. This pillow is already there so I had to retrain my self not to scrunch. Now if I can only figure out what to do with these arms I'll be fine! The first night I struggled with the pillow issue, but when I got up my body felt awesome. My wife said the same. We've had our new bed now for about two weeks and each night I sleep so well I have a hard time getting up in the morning. I used to toss and turn when my neck and shoulders would start aching. They do not do that any more. My wife would toss and turn due to lower back problems and pain shooting down her leg. That does not happen any more. I have changed my pillow scrunching habits and have come to like the pillow as well. Over all I am very pleased with this mattress and would recommend it to anyone with soreness issues that keep them up at night. It will not work on pinched nerves, but if you are laying wrong with your limbs and body not supported correctly this mattress should correct that for you.

So my wife and I decided to buy a new bedroom set and go to a king size bed from our current queen size traditional spring mattress set. In the past, I have slept on spring sets and Select Comfort (Sleep Number) beds. I read through a ton of reviews on the IComfort as well as traditional spring mattresses. The conclusion I came to is that reviews on beds are not very reliable as what one person likes, another can't stand. That being said, I looked at the reviews for quality, durability, and warranty.

We tried the Prodigy, Revolution, and Genius models while in the store and spent the most time on the Revolution and Genius models. My wife can sleep on just about anything but I preferred the firmer Genius model after spending more than an hour and a half on the beds. I will say that I went with the Genius model after reading through all the reviews in hopes that if it does soften after time, it won't be anything drastic. I found the Revolution just a little to soft for my liking.

The bed is set to be delivered on April 13th and I will update my review with information as to condition on arrival and then updates over time as to, hopefully, how well we like the bed.

Stay tuned.

Don't listen to those fake reviews about the smell.I'm a real person and it has little to no oder.it is a awesome bed!!! I always had problems getting up 2-4 times a night, tossing and turning.the first night I got it,it seemed a little stiff but thats norm.it took about 4-5 days to loosen up.but even the first night I sleept great, after it broke in it was a awesome!!! Buy the bed,you spend a lot of time in your bed.so invest in something your going to like the next 15-25 years. Idid the math on my mattress 2700 my adjustable frame 1700.if the bed last me min of 15years it cost me 26$ a month plus tax of course and a hundred$ breathable waterproof mattress cover. It's worth it.don't go cheap you get what you pay for!!!!
