Bought my full size mattress in March 2009. Wish I had been able to afford this mattress in my younger days. Mattress arrived promptly packed in 4 large boxes. My son put the mattress together with the ex-firm, firm, medium, and soft configuration. I recently decided to change the positions of the top two layers which made the mattress a tiny bit firmer. I love this mattress. I have several medical issues and this mattress worked wonders to help. It took about 2 weeks before my knees stopped hurting all the time. The lack of pressure points is worth all the money needed to buy this mattress. I love going to bed now and look forward to just being able to lay and relax completely. When I wake in the morning it feels as if I'm nestled on a cloud.

Pros:

Everything, but in particular the way the mattress is shipped makes for easy handling. Shawn was helpful when he called and confirmed my order and suggested the layering configuration based on the information I gave him.

Cons:

A single elderly person will need help putting this together as the more firm the layer the heavier. This is not really a con because it's still easier to handle than a regular mattress.

I love my Savvy Rest

The best mattress I ever owned has always been a natural latex mattress. When my husband and I got married my mother gave us a latex mattress from Sears, that mattress lasted us 40 years & we loved it, but we needed a bigger bed.

So we bought a expensive Stearns and Foster, King size latex pillow top mattress for around $1,800 and it didn't last very long at all before we noticed big dips and valleys were sleeping in a well. The manufacturer wouldn't honor the warranty either because it didn't meet their 1 1/2" body impression.

Then we decided to go the other direction and buy a firm Sealy mattress. It was to firm, so we spent a fortune on toppers to trying to make it feel better. What a waste of additional money, we even tried memory foam it didn't last but about 2 months and the toppers kept breaking down. Every thing we did made it feel like a firm pillow top.

Then we decided to buy a expensive $2,800 plush mattress from our local furniture store. The dealer gave us a repeat customer discount, the brand was a Jamison, the owner swore it was a "all natural latex mattress, boy was he wrong." We got that mattress home and it stunk up our house so bad, it burned our eyes, we couldn't breathe and my grandsons asthma got worse every time he would come into our bedroom. This went on for about 1 year and we were sleeping in a well again. So, we called the furniture store up again and he got us a replacement because it met the 1 1/2" body impression. Unfortunately, the new one stunk and made us just as sick as the old Jamision mattress did we locked the mattress up and we resorted to sleeping on the floor in another room. Little did I know it was a synthetic mattress and that is probably why we go so sick. I even felt guilty giving it away fearing it made someone else sick.

Then getting really fed up and tired of the run around we went with a regular Simmons plush mattress with latex in it. It was about $2,700. I was miserable with that mattress every single night for 4 1/2 years but I couldn't afford to keep wasting our money on mattresses so I decided to just live with it. Finally when I was just starting to get use to the mattress we moved.

The first thing that happened was the movers put their dirty hand print on our mattress voiding our warranty with Simmons. Then the movers mis-handled the mattress practically folding it in half. They ruined our mattress. It was like sleeping in a Chinese torture chamber. Needless to say Simmon's wouldn't honor the warranty because of the stain we couldn't remove and the movers damaged it. The movers also refused to pay for it. We had to just throw it in the trash!!

The biggest mistake we ever made was getting rid of our queen latex mattress that we loved so dearly. Sears doesn't make a mattress like that anymore.

Finally we researched and found Savvy Rest organic mattresses. We have been sleeping on our Organic Serenity Pillow Top for 8 years now and love it!! It has been the best investment we ever made.

My husband Bob recently passed away with Cancer and I can tell you Savvy Rest gave him the comfort he needed in his final days. We purchased an adjustable pillow top. We have never lost any sleep because of our Savvy Rest mattress, it is just plain comfortable. We wake up every morning Thankful we have such a great mattress.

We loved it so much we bought one for each of our grand children and a crib mattress for our grand babies.

Funny story, our Grandson Alex got jealous his sister had a Savvy Rest so when his birthday came around his parents asked him what he wanted for his birthday? He said, "I want a Savvy Rest just like my sister has" He kept insisting so much we broke down and got him one to for his birthday. Boy did we make his day, he was so excited!!

We have instructed our children to watch the mattress assembly and care video so if and when they move they will know how to properly care for their mattress so they don't pull and stretch their layers. We told them not to let any movers handle it. Since they come in layers it will be very easy for hem to move without damaging the mattress themselves. We expect our grandchildren will take their mattresses off to college with them and probably start their new lives with it.

We know with proper care these mattresses will last us as long as our old Sears "natural latex" mattress we loved so much. Just passing along some wisdom and experience to our heirs from Ma Ma & Pa Pa with love.

Thank you Savvy Rest!!

We are very happy with our latex mattress - we have had it for about 6 weeks and have both slept so well. There is no motion transfer so you can move or turn over without other feeling it. This had been a problem before as my spouse works until wee hours in AM at times and I would awaken when he came to bed. Also, occasionally, I would awaken with numbness in a hand if I had put pressure on it--but not with this mattress. It is great to know that it is organic, nontoxic and no need to encase the mattress due to allergies (as had to do with innerspring mattress to prevent dust mites). The staff of the store allowed us to take our time to try the different configurations of the 3 layers of mattresses.

Pros:

Can customize each side of the bed with the layers-we have varied layers of the Dunlop type latex.
No motion transfer.
Feels really great and sleep so soundly.
Very easy to move-just roll up each layer of mattress and put into boxes--if you need to.

Cons:

We have no complaint of any kind-it is the best.
