I had a lame bed from college still, graduated, and wanted to upgrade. Being a fan of the environment, I had heard about latex mattresses and their minimal impact. I checked out the Savvy Sleeper, and the guy Michael was great. Very down to earth salesman.

I sleep amazingly on the latex, and one of my favorite things is how even it is from side to side, and front to back. Very different than all previous mattresses I've had that always tend to sag in the middle.

And, of course, I know that I'm doing the best I can for the environment. i also move quite a lot (have like 5 times in the past 4 years) and i like how it's super easy to move -- just folds right up and i can fit it in my volvo sedan which is sweet.
Date Purchased: February 2007
Price Paid: $1999

Pros:

even sleep, super comfy, environmentally friendly, super portable for moving

Cons:

some might say they're a bit expensive, but i really think the little extra is worth it. i sleep WAY better (for real), and it's also a pretty fun conversation piece!

Savvy Rest--a safe, durable mattress. Before we bought our Savvy Rest mattress about five years ago, we were sleeping on a Tempur-pedic mattress; and I was waking up with headaches about 5 mornings per week. Someone told me that my headaches might be caused by the memory foam in Tempur-pedic (even though we liked how it felt), so we wanted a natural, comfortable mattress. Savvy Rest was an easy choice.

I can't remember exactly how soft each side is, but my side is a little firmer than my husband's, and it feels the same as the day we bought it.

It took about 6 months for my headaches to clear up, but they gradually went away. My health has totally returned. I sleep great now. I am very grateful that there is a mattress that is so healthy and comfortable for me to sleep on. Thank you, Savvy Rest.

Pros:

Very durable. No sagging or anything after 5 years.

Safe.

Firm enough for me. Soft enough for my husband.

Cons:

It's heavy, but we never move it.

We purchased the queen size Costco Sleep Science 10" Natural Latex Mattress in July of 2010. The delivery team was wonderful; they placed the mattress on the foundation, moved it to our specifications, and removed all of the packaging.

After reading several reviews, we chose NOT to buy the Sleep Science foundation. We ordered an oak platform bed from Platformbeds.com.

This mattress appears very well made. For the first week or so, it seemed a bit too firm, although we slept quite well, with no back pain whatsoever. (Our old bed was a softside waterbed with a memory foam topper, so any bed would have probably felt hard!) We are presently using this mattress with a 1" talalay topper and a wool mattress topper. Even without the toppers, this mattress sleeps much, much cooler than the waterbed with memory foam topper.

We have now had the mattress for four months and are very happy with this purchase.

Made in China.
