I was looking at several other type of mattress like the Sealy Posturepedic and the Tempur-Pedic. The Dormia Celebration had the memory foam and Latex core but was price prohibitive for me. Several companies do not ship out to the west coast. I also was not confortable trying to figure out the right combo for a kit. Upon reading the reviews on the Bragada mattress and the positive feedback I looked into what they offered. It has the memory foam and latext core which I wanted. It was not a kit so I did not have to figure out the parts and put it together. The shipping was free and they delivered to the west coast. The price with no tax was exactly my comfort zone. I looked at the video on the website and hoped that my mattress would be made in the manner that they showed. I knew from reading reviews that unless the mattress was defective or damaged in shipping it could not be returned. I was willing to take the risk with them and I purchased the Silver Cloud in a full size with a box spring to match. It has been two weeks and I love it.
I plan to buy the same model in a Queen size for another bedroom. I have an bulging disk in my lumbar region of my back. Sleeping on this bed has eliminated the aches and pains I usually had in the morning. For me it is the right amount of softness and firmness. I had my first guest over who also loved the mattress. I have only had the mattress for a short time so I cannot speak to the longevity of the product. Thank you to this site for providing great input about mattresses. Before viewing the site I never heard of Bragada and now I am glad I did.
Date Purchased: June/2006
Price Paid: $1495
Recommend: Yes

Pros:

Price, Free shipping, no tax, four inches of memory foam and latex core, quilted cashmere and edge support so it would be easier to get in and out. The feel is the right amount of softness and firmness. The exterior of the mattress looks well made with quality materials.

Cons:

To my knowledge you cannot test it out in a retail store. You are buying it site unseen. You can only return it if it was damaged in shipping or defective.
The do not have a try and buy program like some other companies.

Death by discomfort!

This must be absolutly one of the worst mattresses on the planet. I know a previous reviewer stated it felt like sleeping on a sack of flour and I had to think about that for a minute to compare the two...after a few minutes I honestly think the flour would be better. It comes wonderfully packaged in a vacuum sealed box resembling an oversized cofee bag. When you finally make it through all the layers of cryovac, dont hold your breath because it took 5 days for it to expand to a fairly decent size. Even after the long wait, the corners are still compressed and the bed feels like a fresh slab of asphault; stiff, uninviting, and smelly.

Undoubtedly, the bed is going back ASAP and I recomend that anyone considering this mattress for whatever reason, reconsider!

I bought this mattress from Costco last month on sale. It was conveniently packaged and fit in the trunk of my car. Waiting for it to inflate after cutting it open was another matter. It never did fully inflate and there was a hard ridge down the middle of the mattress that ran from the head of the mattress to the foot. I called Sleep Innovations and after sending them some items, they sent me a replacement mattress in a few weeks. After 72 hours it was MOSTLY inflated, although there were a few areas that weren't completly expanded (corners and a few areas on the edges). I slept on it for the first time last night and it was solid and uncomfortable. Very similar to laying on a sack of flour or sand. The mattress comes with a heavy inner wool-type layer of fabric around it, then the exterior cotton zip cover. I'll be removing the wool fabric tonite to see if that helps. If anything changes I'll update this rating.

Pros:

Convenient packaging. Great warranty service.

Cons:

Takes a long time to inflate...if it ever does. Smells bad for awhile. Hard as a rock.
