My wife and I just received the iComfort Genius we bought about a week ago. We spent about 6 hours total testing the various models of iComforts as well as some other beds before deciding on the Genius model. We went with the firmer Genius as I prefer a firmer mattress and my wife can sleep on just about anything without any issues. The other model we were close to was the Revolution but went with the Genius after reading posts about possible break down in firmness over time. So here are my first thougths after the first night on the bed.

** Smell - our bed did have the odor from the foam but it was what I expected from my experience with memory foam toppers we have bought in the past. I wouldn't say it was overpowering and it didn't seem to bother my wife or I during our first night on the bed but it is definitely there. Expect that to dissapate over short period of time.

**Temperature - using 250 thread count sheets, I did not find the bed hotter than a normal spring mattress but I wouldn't say it was any cooler either. I have read on other sites that if you are getting hot at night during sleep, consider changing to a lower thread count sheet as the higher thread count sheets do not breath as well and therefore you will sweat more. Didn't wake up sweating during the night so I dont think temperature will be an issue with the mattress.

**Comfort - on the innerspring mattress we just moved from, I was awaking constantly during the night (6-10 times a night). First night on the iComfort was pretty good. My wife said she doesn't think she moved all nigth and slept on her side which she said caused her down side shoulder to be sore this morning. I did awake about three times last night but I definitely slept better than I was previously. I have some lower back issues and my back was still sore this morning but I think I will need to give it some time to see how my body adjusts. We also moved from a queen to king size so it was nice not bumping into each other during the night.

**Overall - first night was pretty good, definitley different than the spring mattress we had been on. I will say that when I first get on the bed, it seems very firm and then once you lay there for a bit, the support I got was very good and comfortable. Time will tell.

**Durability - too early to tell. WIll update in a couple weeks with where things are at with our overall experience.

I have been waking up every morning with back pain for a long time due to my 19 y/o mattress.

I just got an Icomfort insight mattress, the reason I chose this was because I didn't want a really soft foam mattress, and it was in my price range around $1200.

This thing is amazing!!! No more back pain !!!!

The mattress is still very new so I will post again later. But so far so good. Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi All,
I have been reading various reviews on this forum for the past week while we were trying to determine whether to buy the iComfort or Tempurpedic. Yesterday we finally decided to buy the iComfort Revolution Dual Split King w/adjustable base. We went back to the Sleep Country store where we tested both beds to question the sales manager on some items I learnt from this forum. He did confirm that the bed needs a bit of "break-in" and "air out"...for 20-30 minutes per him. He stated that the Sleep Country store's (in Portland, OR) policy was 100% refund if unsatisfied within 100 days w/o any delivery or restocking fee. We also laid on the Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme, Luxe and Rhapsody beds before trying the iComfort Revolution. All beds had the adjustable base. I finally decided on the iComfort since it felt right in between the Cloud Supreme and Luxe in softness which felt just right to me. The remote on the iComfort was also nicer as it had some nice presets. Finally, the iComfort Revolution was $2900 lesser than Cloud Supreme and $4200 cheaper than Cloud Luxe. BTW, we also tried the iComfort Renewal Refined but liked the Revolution better. We will get it delivered next Saturday. I hope it works out for us and will post an update after a few weeks of use.
