Bought my full size mattress in March 2009. Wish I had been able to afford this mattress in my younger days. Mattress arrived promptly packed in 4 large boxes. My son put the mattress together with the ex-firm, firm, medium, and soft configuration. I recently decided to change the positions of the top two layers which made the mattress a tiny bit firmer. I love this mattress. I have several medical issues and this mattress worked wonders to help. It took about 2 weeks before my knees stopped hurting all the time. The lack of pressure points is worth all the money needed to buy this mattress. I love going to bed now and look forward to just being able to lay and relax completely. When I wake in the morning it feels as if I'm nestled on a cloud.

Pros:

Everything, but in particular the way the mattress is shipped makes for easy handling. Shawn was helpful when he called and confirmed my order and suggested the layering configuration based on the information I gave him.

Cons:

A single elderly person will need help putting this together as the more firm the layer the heavier. This is not really a con because it's still easier to handle than a regular mattress.

Ordered a special deal on www.sleepez.com for a 8" natural latex mattress..it's comprised of 2" firm Dunlop, 2" Soft Dunlop, and 2" Soft Natural Talalay. We put them in F, S, S order.
The mattress came in 2 big boxes, wrapped in black plastic bag. It was easy for me and my husband to carry them upstairs to our 3rd floor townhome.

We unrolled the first box (firm Dunlop), and laid out the zippered cover.
Easy.

Then we opened up the second box (1 Soft Dunlop and 1 Soft Talalay ), stacked them on the firm latex, and we zipped it. It was very easy. Just a few adjustments.

The order came with a FREE mattress protector to my delight.

Today is our first night trying it out and so far my son is loving it.

I will post more review in about 2 weeks or so.

Ordering online was super easy, Jeremy and Kristina were very attentive to the order, I used Google Check out and everything was very smooth, mattress came in about 3 business days.

Excellent Customer Service.

My new latex mattress

Before I start to belly ache, let me first say, Shaun is a good and fair business man, so whatever I'm about to say has no reflection on him. I have decided I have a love hate relationship with the mattress, but I am not willing to send it back. (yet) unless our lower backs start acting up again.

I first got soft over soft over medium, and my husband got soft over medium over firm. We soon realized this was way too soft of a combo for us, so Shaun quickly sent us out an X-firm and another firm. I now lay on my husband first configuration, and he now lays on soft over firm over X-firm. He says it's much better, but is unsure now if his is maybe too firm. On some nights I think mine is still too soft, and firm at the same time, which is odd.

So I wonder if we will ever have this layering cake bed figured out ???. I wanted to cry at first because I am the one who pushed my husband into buying this after waiting almost 15 years to buy a new mattress. I even have people lined up to buy latex, but I'm not sure now if I want them to go through the nightmare I have gone through with it. Don't get me wrong, I still love it in some ways, and I'm still glad I got away from coil springs and the dangerous stuff the gov't mandates to be put into mattresses, I just never realized it would take so much work to find the right comfort. Sometimes I think I should have just got a 6" core then started adding the comfort to the top. Shaun did say he could have made mine that way. He even sent me a better cover with the zipper on top to make arranging the layers easier for us, free of charge. He also didn't charge me for the shipping of the new layers he sent out. He told me to take all the time I needed to figure out my comfort needs.

I also just had a baby 21/2 months ago, so my lower back was already hurting from the epidural. This mattress only added to my pain, but I think mainly because I had it too soft in the beginning. I don't have the backpain anymore, it just seems like I roll right off the side of the bed, and if I put my knee into it, I go right down to my foundation.

The bed seems more like a cheap foam in some ways. My husband says he feels better after sleeping on the couch, which has cheap foam in it. that is the part I don't get after spending almost a grand.

I think the top layer is almost too soft, kind like a wet marshmellow. The medium is what I want, but Shaun says it is really no different from the soft. mmmmm

anyways I think as long as my baby is not alergic to this stuff, I'm gonna keep it. It does make my bedroom feel cleaner. I am also getting all 5 of my kids a topper, and maybe the baby a latex crib mattress, but I will probably order from Foambymail or Overstock. They have the lowest prices. And since my bed is blended latex, the kids should be fine with the blended from another company. It can't be as dangerous as memory foam.

So all and all I am still glad I got this mattress, and I love my latex pillows from JcPenny. I had to search for the ones that smelled more like a tire. I wanted to puke when I smelled the ones that some say smells like cookie dough. They smell more like rotten milk!. Sure enough my mattress smells like the rotten milk too, but you don't notice it as much once you put the cover on it, and sheets etc....

Just remember if your cover or sheets, or waterproof protecter doesn't all have a stretch to it, you loose the whole feeling of the latex. It firms it up the more stuff you put in between you and your latex.

one more thing. I find the softer the mattress is, the harder it is to move around on it. My husband and I both prefer super soft, but realized in the talalay, it is best to go firmer.

About the foundation: I ordered a NOMAD bedframe from Amazon, for only $149. It's on it's way. Looks good, and good price, you might wanna check it out.

Pros:

spongy, clean/fresh feeling, I like knowing what is in my mattress. You can adjust it, and always add more comfort. Long lasting. Gives you pride to know you can put together your own mattress.

Cons:

Hard to rearrange the layers, Hard to figure out comfort level, sinks when pushed on by the knee, has slight odor, Expensive for foam that is not even pure latex.
