Appears you have NOT taken the initiative to thoroughly research previous forum contributions . . only YOU can determine which configuration of mattress components are suitable for your personal comfort preferences.  Even if someone suggested a specific model, the objective of the industry "name game" nonsense is to prevent "apples to apples" comparisons . . and different materials may be used in different plants and productions runs.  Mattress selection is almost always a "trial and error" process!...

I was fortunate enough to live near a local mall which houses an AstraBeds showroom,  a welcomed relief as all the other companies I researched only offer their products online.  The mattress I chose was the 10" VenusBed.  This mattress feels just like the Tempurpedic Deluxe.  I love my mattress and would encourage anyone considering Tempurpedic to try it as well.

Google research returns are always interesting . . . source

The same company has spammed this thread before, and I just removed the post. 2 strikes and you're out.

Talalay Vs. Dunlop Latex - Lynn2006
May 25, 2008 7:56 PM
From all my readings about Dunlap versus Talalay process methods and from my experience with that one Dunlap topper ( I have not experienced any Dunlap latex cores that may be great for bottom support), it seems that the Talalay Process cleans out the latex better and produces more consistent pin holes that produce more consistent ILD's throught the latex core and that the firmer Talalay Latex has a very long life. Latex International says that Talalay Latex lasts longer than Dunlap Latex but Latex International manufactures Talalay Latex.  :)

I have selected posts from various sites below to help others make the decision.

I am happy with the Talalay Latex cores I have from FloBeds that buys them from Latex International (but my topper is from Brylane Homes since I wanted a 1" topper that was soft made with the Talalay Processing.... Dave did sent me three toppers but they were...

Mccldwell, Thank you for letting me know about the good pillow article that I read after registering for what looks like a great online Washington Post newspaper.  I copied it below with the link and hope others register to fully utilize the services of this great site. I am glad you let me know about it. I found a few other articles that I found interesting.  I just finished working at 12:45 AM from early this morning and this site ws the perfect relaxation for me to get my mind off of taxes.  I always knew my pillow was important and that is why I used to bring it with me on all my business trips when I used to travel for business. That is why I am always trying to find the perfect pillow height for my side sleeping and petite size ever since my very old latex foam...
Re: Flobeds Posture Zone Green vs. Posture Select Green and other queries - Lynn2006

I think you will be happy with the Talalay blended latex cores since I find I am not allergic to them and I am allergic to a lot of things in life.

I would ask Dewey if he can get you a powered bed since he and Dave may know places that have them or may be able to get you a good deal.

I was able to make the latex pieces as small as they came to me so the shipping was not a lot and at first I got return labels since Dave felt I should go softer than I had wanted to go and then he paid the postage to have me have the firmer latex layers that I was going to order initially before my phone call to him.  Most people not quite 5 feet and very petite like me like much softer beds that I do...

Hi everybody,

It's funny how the more things change the more they stay the same.  In the end, I found the perfect bed for myself.

Surprise surprise, though:  It's the same combination I've been using for the past four years.   And I know Sleep Number beds have gotte alot of very negative press here, but at this point I honestly can't say anything bad about it.

I bought the Select Comfort 5000 with the built in topper in May '04.  My main problems were that I couldn't get comfortable because we were having terrible problems with the electric in our area, and we had brownouts and blackouts on a regular basis.  So the pump burned out several times (despite the surge protectors) and the bed felt like the pump wasn't inflating it properly.  Then Keyspan fixed the problem by getting rid of the parrots that were nesting all over the electrical transformers.   The...

Thank you kindly for the replies, I really appreciate it.

I did a little research around the forums as suggested, as well as some research around the internet.  I also went shopping (twice) for a mattress type I felt was most comfortable at sleepy's and better bedding.  It came down to either memory foam, or latex, more specifically a sealy full latex, tempur-pedic, or comforpedic.  And although the sealy and comforpedic were indeed quite comfortable, I get this gut feeling I wouldn't like it after sleeping on it because it's simply too comfortable, if that makes sense...  The tempurpedics (rhapsody and deluxe) were nice the way they comformed to my body, but they seemed just a bit too firm, and the tempurature in the summer thing is probably my biggest turn-off.  I already have a hard enough time as it is sleeping in the summer heat.  Also it seems a lot of...

Questions regarding latex and air - needsomesleep
Jun 4, 2008 5:20 PM
I really like sleeping on my airbed (right now I am sleeping on a coleman) and I want to purchase a real air bed. I do not want Select Comfort. I have been reading on this board and people seem to like flobeds. Has anybody tried their latex and air mattress? Do you think it is good quality? Will I have any problems with mold or the air pump? Are they good about returning the mattress if I don't like it? Sorry, so many questions, but this whole mattress thing is so confusing and there are so many choices out there. Thanks so much....

I'm bumping this thread just to note that the above body pillow is on a "Friday Sale" for $19.99. Since my original post this pillow has picked up a few negative reviews, so even though the price is excellent I haven't ordered. The main complaint is that it's too big and fluffy and doesn't lose its fluff - apparently many people are accustomed to body pillows that lose their fluff and/or prefer them that way.

I'm still thinking of getting a body pillow ... someday.

I bought one about one and a half years ago... was a memory foam one from Ortho for about $100. I've like it, but as a side sleeper, it's not substantial enough for me as I like my arm that is on top to not collapse into my body, which it still does too much with the one I got. So I got...
