I was nervous about buying a bed online and untested, but felt better knowing this company gets great reviews and has a full refund policy.

The bed arrived without a hitch. The queen size was too heavy for me to get up the stairs without the help of my girlfriend, but no big deal (unless your a loner).

Off-gassing is supposed to be a short-term problem, but I didn't notice anything particularly objectionable. I gave it a few hours with the windows upon to air out anyway.

The first time I laid on the bed, I immediately felt it was way too firm for me.

To make a long story short, that feeling never went away. After 60 days I called and told them I couldn't keep it. They asked me to try a padded mattress cover (at their expense) and I gave that a shot. It was like two inches of padding on top of a rock.

When I told them as much, I got a full refund. No problems. They had me donate the bed and send proof prior to crediting my charge card.

I guess most people keep the bed, and the company's direct sales model leaves them with a large enough profit margin that they can eat the cost of a bed occasionally.

My take away was that there was no real down side (other than the 60 day trial period with an uncomfortable bed), because their refund policy is for real.
