He reached 1000 postings a couple months ago and we have not heard from him much since then.  Hope his situation is working okay.

Well I am still here. What happened is a couple of things:

1) I got very busy with something that took up most of my time on a daily basis

2) I didn't have money to experiment further with my mattress. Want to try a soft latex but have not been able to afford to buy it.

My mattress in the current configuration is "okay" but certainly not the "answer". Some day in the near future hopefully I'll be able to buy some new components and experiment again.

Good to hear that you are still out there.  I have found that 19ILD latex is definitely firmer and has some push back compared to memory foam.  So, if you really want soft you may have to go with 14.
