Adjusting nicely to the Stonefield

My only update is that this S-Class plush continues to become more comfortable for me over time.

While the Memory Foam in this model is considered a weakness by many, I'm pleased to report that I'm adjusting to it quite nicely. I'm not bothered by it being warm, and our bedroom is seldom at a temperature lower than the high 70's. However, I believe the memory foam does not represent the top layer of padding, so it's isolated from the surface. I'm now beginning to wonder is memory foam actually is a pretty darn good material of construction for a mattress, applied judiciously and properly.

Without a doubt, I like this product better today than I did a few months ago.

This Stonefield model Plush (no P/T) replaced a Beautyrest Drucilla Grove P/T......just outside the premium Exceptionale/Latitudes line......that I reviewed earlier.

It's rather clear to me (at least thus far) that S&F delivers a superior product. Outstanding support, and apparent excellent build quality thus far. I'm experiencing absolutely NO back pain, and my wife's hip is doing just fine. We both sleep pretty much blissfully.

We're still noticing that the smell of the new materials has yet to subside after better than a month. Is it possible the fact that we completely disregarded the suggestion to allow the set to "air out" for a day or so after taking delivery has anything to do with this ?? :-)

On balance, it's probably a little softer than I'd ideally prefer. Walkman previously described the padding of the S-Plush.....to be honest, probably pretty accurately.....as MUSHY. As an owner, I'd prefer to call it "spongy" :-) But, like all mattresses, soft/mush/sponge are descriptions probably better left to the minds (and backs) of a given user.

I'm noticing impressions already. However, I've now learned enough about REALLY padded mattresses to understand that.....speaking in general terms.....the more padding you have (especially if it isn't latex), the more pronounced the impressions seem to become, and at an earlier date. Happily, I'm no longer as obsessed with this "problem" as I was with the Simmons. In other words, I'm learning........and, it isn't bothering me.

Everything being equal, the somewhat firmer K-class equivalent of the S&F line might have proven to be a slightly better choice for me personally.....especially at a $350 savings. But, that's not the fault of the S-class product.

On balance, we're happy with our purchase, and would quickly recommend this product to anyone looking for a soft, premium plush.
