Customer support has constantly ignored me emails.
The mattress is customization, but the customer service talked me into a configuration I didn't want, and of course it didn't work at all for me. Got them to send what I originally asked for, and that worked well for a while. The latex has a significant break-in though, and my firm has softened into a medium. Their return policy sounds okay, but realistically makes it very, very difficult to actually return the mattress because you have to somehow vacuum pack the foam yourself and get it into tiny boxes. I was happy with the pillows though.
Date Purchased: 12/15
Price Paid: $2000 Recommend: No Pros:
customizable
Cons:
bad return policy, latex softens significantly, bad customer service, expensive

Latex Heaven

I was having lower back pain and sleeping problems for several years, before I realized it was my mattress. I am a 5' 4", 120 lb woman and in my 30's (at the time), so I have no idea a mattress could wreak so much havoc. I started researching mattresses and came across the solid latex. I had a solid latex pillow as a kid which I had absolutely loved, so I immediately knew a latex mattress was for me. After looking around in the stores, I opted for the internet because the value was so much better than anything I saw in the stores. (caveat - prices were MUCH cheaper then)
I ordered a 4 layer - 3" inch each layer talay latex mattress. The top (soft) layer we found to be way too soft and gave it away. I ordered a medium layer for our top, so now we have two firm layers at the bottom and two medium layers at the top. It is heaven. It's like sleeping on a marshmallow. No more back problems, and I can now sleep on my back (favorite position). The mattress is holding strong after ten years, and frankly I can easily see ten more years. I personally think 4 layers is over kill, and if you're struggling to afford it, just buy 2 - 3" layers (6 inches). Three layers would be more than enough. Incidentally, one time when I was washing the cover, my two year old sat on the mattress and starting pulling bits out. We packed the bits back in the mattress and covered it with a cloth. We moved this layer down one notch (so it's in the middle), and you don't notice a thing. Tough stuff. Tears also have absolutely no bearing on durability. Just wrap the stuff up in the mattress cover and you won't notice a thing.
Date Purchased: 07/2003
Price Paid: $800 Recommend: Yes Pros:
extreme comfort
good value long term easy to remove cover and wash it low allergy problems (dust mites) Cons:
tricky to arrange comfort at first
how do you send these things back? heavy when all together difficult to move -- (move each layer separately rolled up as a burrito) keep away from 2 year olds!

Wife credits all my research with the best purchase we've made. I started with a long list of possible companies and slowly weeded it down.
We were told by Sleep EZ we might have a break in period to get used to the new mattress. We did go through that for about 3 weeks and then it just clicked and we've never looked back. We think probably our backs had been messed up by our old bed--kept way too long. This mattress is so comfortable and we both sleep so well.
Date Purchased: October 2013

Comfortable for both of us--we selected a firmer side for me and softer for my wife.
Like that we can change around our layers. Price was best we found Sleep eZ was really helpful to us Cons: |
