Doesn't last; don't stand behind their warranty

Savvy Rest Serenity

Purchased their Serenity 3-layer natural latex mattress in 2012 for over $2500. Loved it at first. After 2 years, it started developing soft spots; after 3 years, about 1" of sag. Halfway through year 3, I contacted them and was informed their 20 year warranty doesn't kick in until there are 1.5" of visible sagging. (1.5" is A LOT when talking about a mattress; even as much as 1/2-3/4 inch can cause serious pain and alignment problems.). Unwilling to shell out more money for a mattress after having spent so much on this one, I continued to sleep on it, rotating it regularly to get away from the sags. After 4.5 years, I "finally" hit the magic mark of 1.5" of sag. I emailed them with photos, was told to disassemble the entire mattress and figure out exactly which layers were affected, and to send photos of my base to ,prove that wasn't the issue (it isn't). When I explained that evidently it is a cumulative effect, because the layers seem more or less fine on their own Savvy Rest then offered to have someone out to measure for me. I declined, completely frustrated and dumbfounded by this level of push-back and unwillingness to take action. Another year later, I'm now at 2 inches of sag and have decided to re-open the case, as the mattress is completely unusable at this point. TBD whether Savvy Rest will step in and resolve the issue.

TL;DR: outrageously priced, poor quality, doesn't last, awful customer service
Date Purchased: 06/2012
Price Paid: $2500
Recommend: No

Pros:

Customizable

Cons:

Doesn't hold up beyond 2-3 years. Sags causing back pain. Savvy Rest customer service gives the runaround when trying to invoke their 20 year warranty. Far too pricey for the short lifespan.

I am 5'6 and 150 lbs my husband is 5'11 and 250 and we both are sore every day we sleep on this mattress.
The store did not offer every configuration and I was left to choose between soft med firm and med med firm ( all Dunlop) so the problem is that lying on the med does not immediately feel uncomfortable. It feels pleasantly supportive. Spend a night on it and it is a whole different ball game. Makes it impossible to trial in a show room. The other problem is the are taking their time shipping us replacement layers. I doubt that exchanging one layer will help all that much.
This was an expensive mistake.
Not recommended unless you live in the city these beds are made in and can try every configuration.
Date Purchased: 10/2015
Price Paid: $3791

Pros:

Organic is great except that we are fighting over the chemically treated guest bed because the savvy rest is so damn uncomfortable. It kind if defeats the purpose.

Cons:

Worse than a park bench
Causes pain that wasn't there previously.
Cheap guest bed and couch are more comfortable.

This mattress has helped so much with the pain I would get in my hip and back from sleeping on my innerspring mattress with a memory foam topper. Unlike the memory foam, latex does not sleep hot. I really don't remember if the latex mattress I bought is considered Serenity or Tranquility. I was fortunate to have a Savvy Rest store nearby so I could try out both the Talalay and Dunlop layers in different degrees of firmness. It is great that you have up to 90 days to exchange layers, as you really can't tell in the store how soft or firm the mattress feels until you sleep on it for several nights. I switched layers two times (easier to do if you buy a split layer rather than a solid piece). Also bought the adjustable bed. I can't wait to go to bed at night, and it's hard to get out of bed in the morning, as it's just so comfortable.

Pros:

Is much more comfortable than innerspring mattress--no pressure point pain.
Doesn't sleep hot like memory foam topper.

Cons:

Nothing!
