A complete disappointment

Bought the mattress from Furniture Mall of Kansas in Lawrence and told the salesman I was looking for something very firm. Purchased the Union City II after trying it in the store and it was perfect. When the one shipped from their warehouse arrived it appeared to me that it might have been already used! Unfortunately I didn't say anything at the time but the bed has been a complete disappointment. It isn't firm and sags in the middle. Wish I looked at these reviews before instead of relying on the Sealy name. I purchased a Sealy 15 years ago that was perfect and still is but this new one is total garbage. So much for buying local (both the retailer and apparently the bed was made in KC).

Pros:

Only positive was they hauled the old mattress away (given the new one isn't any better I'm not sure this is a positive).

Cons:

Total crap. It isn't firm if you weigh more than 50 pounds, sags, a major disappointment.

We've had this mattress for almost 8 years now, and it is unfortunate to say that it was only good for the first 5 years. After that, it went downhill. After the 5th year of ownership, we started noticing that the body indentations (because of memory foam topping) would remain there even after we got out of bed instead of retaking it's original shape. Now, my husband and I can barely sleep on the mattress because it causes back, hip and neck pain.
Date Purchased: May 2007
Price Paid: $1800

Pros:

Comfortable and firm for the first 5 years.

Cons:

Sags after 5 years and causes unbearable body aches.
Pricey.

My wife and I bought my Sealy off QVC NETWORK . It lasted about a year when we made our bed you could see where we slept it sank in that much it felt like you were sleeping in a hole. Contacted Sealy they said had to pay a fee to have someone look at their mattress. I tell everyone stay away from Sealy and QVC they stole our hard earn money. I wish we still had our old mattress back that was 15 years old .
