I AM IN HELL

I am in hell. When will I learn to search reviews before I buy? I would give this negative stars if I could.

From the moment I laid down on the mattress I purchased I was miserable. I bought this to be my last mattress purchase. It was a major expense for me. I went all in with the base, 3 layers, sheets, pillows...

I had just spent a full summer sleeping on wood platforms so I was waiting to float on a cloud of new mattress.

Truly from the first moment it was put together and I lay down my entire body was in pain. In the first few months nerve endings on pressure points died and I have constant pain & itching on those spots. During the night my legs would go numb from the hip down. I wake up in pain all over; even my ribs hurt! I tried switching the mattresses, as advised by the dealer. Only minor improvements from that. I have soft-soft-medium and had to turn the soft layers to their bottom side for an even softer feel. It still hurts like I’ve slept on cement.

One year on and I have decided it has to go. It took me a year to pay the bill, but the price I am paying in pain will just not end. I wonder what kind of person I will be when I finally can have a restful nights sleep. I long to enjoy sleeping again.

I don’t know that I will even try dealing with the company. I will just try Craigslist or some site.

Pros:

Asthma improved since using this mattress.

Cons:

My entire body is in constant pain. I never have a restful sleep. Nerves and joints have had serious & permanent damage.

So disappointed that natural materials are not an option.

Doesn't last; don't stand behind their warranty

Purchased their Serenity 3-layer natural latex mattress in 2012 for over $2500. Loved it at first. After 2 years, it started developing soft spots; after 3 years, about 1" of sag. Halfway through year 3, I contacted them and was informed their 20 year warranty doesn't kick in until there are 1.5" of visible sagging. (1.5" is A LOT when talking about a mattress; even as much as 1/2-3/4 inch can cause serious pain and alignment problems.). Unwilling to shell out more money for a mattress after having spent so much on this one, I continued to sleep on it, rotating it regularly to get away from the sags. After 4.5 years, I "finally" hit the magic mark of 1.5" of sag. I emailed them with photos, was told to disassemble the entire mattress and figure out exactly which layers were affected, and to send photos of my base to ,prove that wasn't the issue (it isn't). When I explained that evidently it is a cumulative effect, because the layers seem more or less fine on their own Savvy Rest then offered to have someone out to measure for me. I declined, completely frustrated and dumbfounded by this level of push-back and unwillingness to take action. Another year later, I'm now at 2 inches of sag and have decided to re-open the case, as the mattress is completely unusable at this point. TBD whether Savvy Rest will step in and resolve the issue.

TL;DR: outrageously priced, poor quality, doesn't last, awful customer service

Pros:

Customizable

Cons:

Doesn't hold up beyond 2-3 years. Sags causing back pain. Savvy Rest customer service gives the runaround when trying to invoke their 20 year warranty. Far too pricey for the short lifespan.

We bought this mattress to replace our 2 year old Serta iComfort that started to sag. The sales person let us try different configurations. My husband and I both like the same firmness. Since the first night I have slept like a baby. I wake up refreshed with out a back ache. There was no order at all from this mattress. We love it!
