We began our search after 12 years on a Simmons dual sided beautyrest. That mattress was great for 11.5 yrs then it began breaking down and back pain set in. We quickly discovered that mattresses were now almost exclusively 1 sided. We flipped/turned all along and wanted another dual sider, this led to OMF. We stared with a Ortho Lux firm which we liked in the showroom but hated almost from the first night. In order to keep the back pain from returning we had to flip/rotate every 2 wks. A tech came out and declared that the mattress met specs. I stared the search again and latex kept topping the list. I saw mattress sets that would have been cheaper than exchanging with OMF but as I dug deeper I found that the latex was Chinese made. Given the issues with toys and drywall there was NO WAY I was going with Chinese latex. This forum tipped me off to Latex Int'l, an American Manufacturer of latex. I went to their site and among many of the best reviewed brands OMF was on the list. We went back to the store on three sperate occasions this time and decided on the standard Latex Model. It has a Latex Int'l talalay core so we opted for the ehchange from our coil spring. Since its arrival the back issues are gone and we sleep better than ever. I go for routine chiropractic adjustments but they are less frequent now. My back muscles just relax on this mattress and allow me to get a great nights sleep. I don't like heat and worried about that, its a non issue as this mattress doesn't "sleep hot" . Some folks complain about OMFs exchange fee but we did this after about 6 months trying to get used to their coil spring model, most stores are 90 days. I am glad they stand behind their products with the 1 yr comfort warranty because otherwise I would have been out the full cost, I chose the coil unit first afterall. They are a business and while I would have preferred a no fee exchange at this point in life and knowing how much I like this mattress, I doubt any coil spring would have satisfied us. Coils may work for some folk but it is no longer our cup o tea. So do your research, learn about the ILD #s OMFs is a 32 and that suits us just fine. Look for the mfg of your latex or research the L.I. site and make an educated purchase. I heartily recommend OMFs Latex mattresses (there is another model with the same core and a softer latex pillow top, we didn't need it). I wouldn't recommend OMFs coil spring mattress or any other coil for that matter. We have left coils in the rearview, from here on out Latex is it.

After spending thousands on beds in the last two years that didn't work for me including Simmons, Englander and Tempurpedic, I was lucky to find FloBeds.

I love my FloBeds. It is customizable to suit my individual needs. Each side can be customized for that side's sleeper. I needed a softer bed, yet with a firmer lumbar area and that is where the vZone excels. (Go to their web site for more information on vZones. www.flobeds.com). They also have memory foam and latex. Though I started with all latex, I ended up with a foam over latex combination due to severe fibromyalgia. It's soft enough for pressure points yet still supports my lower back.

The cotton/wool cover is thick yet stretchy and helps regulate temperature. The natural talalay layers are supportive and cushy at the same time. The memory foam is 5 lbs density and odor free!

The bed was assembled by my Hubby and myself, both in our 60's. I slept on it as soon as we finished stacking the layers inside the cover and zipping it up.

It looks like a traditional mattress, but feels like it was made just for me... because it was! Unlike a traditional mattress, if I need to make change in the future, all I have to do is unzip my cover and switch the layer firmness' around.

The absolute best part of FloBeds is the customer service. They have an A+ BBB rating. You have a full 90 days to try it with a100% money back guarantee. During those 90 days if you need to exchange a layer for a different firmness, you can. And not just once, but as many times as you need. I called about exchanging layers and my new layers were on the way with a return shipping label for the ones I was sending back. I paid a refundable core deposit which was .... refunded!

Customer service doesn't end there. If you have a problem configuring your bed to your needs, Flobeds' owners themselves will work to find what suits you. Dave and Dewey Turner are experts and have been around since 1971. They stand behind their products and pledge to give you the best night's sleep or your money back. They actually care about you and will think outside the box to make you comfortable.

Wonderful bed, fantastic, honest customer service. I will always recommend FloBeds!

In the past year I have contacted Dominick from Savvy Rest in Va. several times to see what he could do for us. We found the bed was just getting softer and softer no matter how many times I flipped it, rotated it. I have firm, med, med. But our main issue is the sag. If I could post a picture here I would. It's like Jack and Jill sleeping on a hill. The bed slopes down into the middle. There answer the first time was to offer me a mattress topper for the pressure point issue. That worked for about 80%, thankfully. However, the sagging issue causes muscle aches and we are now both going to a chiropractor twice a week. The muscle pain does go away after 1 hour of walking for me. Not so for my husband. I contacted Dominick again with the photo and their answer is "it's not enough sag". I explained that once you put a body on the bed, you will see way more sag. Again, their answer is as someone above stated "maybe a latex bed isn't for you". Well, I think we know that by now. I explained how they told us the bed wouldn't sag, which it did. I have no issues with how the bed is made, quality of the cover, etc. Noone has opened and closed this cover more than me and the zipper holds up well. So after a year of constant exchanged with Savvy, I am still left with a bed I can't sleep peacefully or comfortably on. Let me just add that I weigh 117 lbs and my husband 155 lbs so there is no way our weight is affecting this sag. They will only help to a point. There is no way this company will EVER give you your money back. So my warning to you all is to make sure a latex bed is for you. And for those of you who have not had sag or slant issues, I find that amazing, but I am happy for you.
