My husband and I just purchased the Serta iComfort. We decided on the Revolution plush mattress. We had initially gone into the store wanting a Tempurpedic, but seeing the price tag we thought there had to be something else similar but with a smaller price tag. The salesperson showed us the iComfort and as soon as I laid down, I knew it was the one we'd end up purchasing. We've had it for about a month now and we have LOVED it since the day it was delivered. Oh my goodness, my husband and I joke and say that it's the "worst" thing we've ever done because it's almost impossible to get out of bed in the morning because it is so comfy! I had read some reviews online before purchasing and was kind of nervous that it would have a smell or be too firm upon delivery but had no problems with either issue. It did have a slight smell when it was first delivered--Very faint, and not "bad." It just had a "new" smell to it. Kind of comparable to a newly painted house smell. It went away within 2-3 days. I'm currently staying at my mom's for the weekend and I cannot wait to get back to our bed!! Now everything in comparison is just horrible. We definitely recommend this mattress. We got the price down to $1500 at Mattress Warehouse. A large chunk of money for a mattress but it is so worth it and it came with a 25 year warranty. The mattress itself is beautiful! I love the quilted patterned top. So is the box spring. There is no need for a bed skirt to hide it because it is so well made. I used to toss and turn a lot in my sleep, now i just melt into this bed and wake up in the same position. I actually used to have problems with sleep walking, too. But since sleeping on this mattress it has stopped. My husband is a former Marine (he just got out last month) and has had issues sleeping. Not getting to sleep, but staying to sleep. Even on Ambien he would wake up between 4-6 times a night. It was so frustrating for both of us. Now we go to bed early and sleep in every day, lol. This thing is too good!!!

We purchased a revolution based on the advice of the salesgirl. We went in wanting the prodigy(we spent 15 minutes on it at another store wanted to see what kind of promo/mattresses this store had) but they didn't have it in yet and she wanted to see how are bodies looked on their other 2 icomforts. We bought the "rev" on July3rd and my husband hasn't slept good yet. His arms keep falling asleep 10-15 times a night and now his back(never had a backache) is bothering him. $2000 and no sleep! High thread count sheets cannot be used on it because it takes away from the "technology" in this mattress...compresses it too much and retains body heat same goes for mattress protectors thus far! So disappointed with this...it's beautiful but how long to "break in" a mattress??I was told by a Dr. that you should never have to break in a mattress,it should feel good from the beginning!Serta representative advised me to keep it for 30 days and not to use sheets or mattress protectors that it takes away from such a nice mattress & it is dust mite resistant....I thought this advice was "nuts"(smile)!I think I will call them and ask for the prodigy!! The smell did dissipate after 48hrs. We had a tempurpedic which slept very warm and you couldn't roll over easily. This Serta you just plain can't sleep on it without hurting somewhere...my hip hurt me a few nights if I stayed in 1 place too long! I'm the one that didn't have any problems sleeping...thanks Serta!

We got the Serta iComfort Genius (a pair of Twin XL to fit our King bed) because it felt good in the store, but after 45 days, it's still hurting our backs. We've traveled and slept in hotels during this period and we have no back problems in the hotels. Return home to this mattress and we wake up with sore and stiff lower backs.
We are in our 50's, wife is 5'4" 130 lbs and husband is 6'3" and 230 lbs.

We purchased from Bedmart and they don't refund money; only exchange. So now the hunt begins to find a better mattress at their store.
Date Purchased: May 2011
Price Paid: $2600

Pros:

Light weight (easy to make the bed)
Not too hot or cold
Bare mattress looks attractive

Cons:

There does seem to be a break-in period; husband side is softer than wife side
Still hurting our lower backs after 45 days
