Do NOT buy this model in a King size bed!

I will save many customers much AGGRAVATION... do NOT get the king beds that have the dark gray air chambers! They create a horrible lump in the middle and if you like to snuggle (or more intimate things) with your partner, it is VERY uncomfortable for one of you. I have dealt with Comfortaire for years on this and they always try to convince me there is nothing wrong. FYI - I own 2 of their beds and the one with the lighter gray chambers don't have the rim all the way around each "twin" chambers. That bed is basically fine. The air in both beds need to be refilled more often than I thought they would. We have tried to fix that by buying new pumps, etc, but it doesn’t completely solve the problem.
NOTE: My bed is an older model with another name, but has the same air chambers which is the problem.

Return Problem

I am very satisfied with the customer service and return service that I have received from the folks that work at Comfortaire. The mattress I "tried" as advertised was the Sona (kingsize). I am returning it because my back was worse having slept on this bed. I did have to visit my chiropractor for adjustment. Her recommendation for me was no air mattress. What seems to be the most difficult aspect of the bed was the "hammock" effect that occurs when sleeping at settings under 60 psi. I weigh 165, which is within the tolerance for the bed. Personnally, I believe the foam was the cause of the "hammock" effect. While the quality of everything seems good, i don't believe the foam is really of the quality needed to provide the comfort, but that is my personal experience and may not be that of others.

Pros:

the service. the people who work for this company are professional and polite in every sense of the words.

Cons:

The return restrictions. While Comfortaire was agreeable to honor their return agreement for a trial use, the ability to return all items into the two shipping boxes that were bulging when we received them is impossible. So, you will be stuck with an additional charge of $50 to return more than the 2 boxes that the king size bed is received in. The foam topper is a bear to repackage. So I would be aware of this issue and the cost that you will expend to return this items, to ensure the items are not damaged.

We purchased the Bella in Dec 2011. Excellent customer service and easy to order. Delivered within 1 week as promised. Set up was simple. Bed is very comfortable. We like the features of the Bella since it addresses issues mentioned in other reviews (no center seam sag, no sag on edges, urethane construction on air mattress to minimize mold). The Wisperflo pump is not as quiet as the name implies, but it has been two weeks and the air mattress has not lost ANY pressure, so it has been a moot point. The quality of the mattress materials is excellent. My wife and I are over 60 and she reports less hip pain. I did not get any obvious pain relief, but I sleep through the night much better. Although both Comfortaire and their competitor are rated A+ by BBB (this means both companies handle the complaints well), but we noticed that Comfortaire had only a fraction of the number of complaints in 3 years compared to the competition. To us, that meant we were less likely to have a problem and a hassle with Comfortaire.
