zoned layers

Does anyone have experience with the Flobeds zone layer? Would be interested in your impressions, including type you got (primarily soft, med, firm) and what other layers you have it on, your height, how it worked, etc. Any better than a regular piece of soft (or other density) talalay?
thanks

Have not used the Flobeds zoned layer. What is it? One piece of latex that is pre-zoned?

But I have used zoned layers by buying 2-3 pieces of foam of different ILD's and cutting them in thirds and placing a softer zone at top, firmer zone in the middle (at hips). For me, it doesn't work as well as just a piece of foam the same all the way from top to bottom. It does work for some people.

As to pre-zoned, all in one piece, it could work. But my feeling is that with zones you have to get the difference in the zones just right, so a prezone may or may not work. Better to buy a softer piece and medium piece and make your own zone. Of course experimenting in this way can get a little expensive if you don't hit on the right ILD's or firmnesses on your first shot. But ultimately you probably stand a better chance of getting it right by doing your own so you can find just the right difference between the upper and middle.

Linda: Sorry I can not help you as one who uses zoned latex. However I can tell you that David Turner, owner of FloBeds uses a zoned latex system. In fact he invented this system for his own use due to his health problems with his shoulder, I believe.

I am sure if you were to call him he would give you some advice, or better yet email him. Of course he would also like to sell you a piece of foam, since he is in that business.

Me too. My head is swimming from all the info but I feel I'm getting closer to a solution. Haven't heard much about the Vzone tho.
